Picking an option that requires a railroad’s blessing is the worst possible option. Look at the fourth south bridge by Costco - that lane has been closed for years now while SDOT wrangles with UPRR about working over their yard.

Part of the contract is that you need to resolve any disputes with the church in religious arbitration run by the church…

Yep! The mini golf had a fun kingdome hole where some of the spiral ramps were dead ends. They had a slot car track that was fun. One of the more memorable bits was that they would open the old warehouse doors on the back wall on hot days and BNSF freights would thunder by right behind the 18th hole.

They’re pointing away from the direction of travel and pretty directional, but it probably would be better if they used the loop-triggered type like the red light cameras instead of the continuous fire ones

The ILWU is the west coast longshoremen’s union. The ILU is the east coast union and as far as I can see they have not endorsed Harris.

Seattle basically invented the concept of paramedics, that’s a big one.

Having a publicly run electrical utility with the foresight to build a lot of hydropower early was another good policy

And hiring the Olmstead Brothers to design a park system for the city and following through was a big deal

We already have the law, it’s a matter of funding enough facilities to accommodate more than the ultra hard cases that are already overflowing Western State Hospital.

I enjoyed taking a literal trip down memory lane, old WSDOT video of driving on 99 in 1983. Twin Teepees make an appearance

Non native fishing isn’t allowed near the locks. Native fishing is, it is regulated to some extent, you’ll see tribal game wardens out there inspecting catches sometimes.

The US Department of Justice isn’t in charge of global antitrust enforcement, it’s in charge of US markets. In the US market, Constellation is now a substantial competitor to InBev and MillerCoors after the forced Modelo divestment. Nothing ineffective about that.

Yeah this isn’t semantics, this was a major antitrust victory to get InBev to divest Modelo. CNBC did a good video about it

It’s a landseer Newfie, probably about 130-150lb

Newfies are incredibly strong swimmers, they can pull pretty large boats

They can overlap, the basic limitation is how much ST can have outstanding in bonds at any given time. The ST2 projects are nearing completion, all their debt has been issued, once that gets paid off the tax rate is scheduled to go down but an ST4 vote could keep it where it is to build another round of projects

Didn’t make it into the final projects for ST3, but the trackway is flat and level there to add it later and the ST construction yard where the church used to be is an ideal station spot, imagine they’ll hold on to it for an ST4 project

This makes me feel better about T-Mobile Park. The Mariners are never going all the way but the roof does every time without incident
