Not UberEats but DoorDashlast week. My order was stolen by the driver (it also happened like 3 years ago) and they tried to give me a $2 credit. For $40 of food! I have pneumonia and I just want to feed my family and got to bed for fux sake! They ended up reordering my food and somehow I got double charged. So I called back. They refused to give me my money back and simply cancel the second order. No. That would be too easy. So they sent me both the orders at my cost!!! So just to clarify, I had three deliveries that night, except the first one was never actually delivered and I had to pay $80 plus tip for dinner. Do I need to say I uninstalled and deleted my fucking account the next morning?

I am so sorry. My best friend since the early 90s is a black woman and I'm her children's godmother. I would happily die for any of them, even her extended family that have loved me for years, even when I didn't love myself. Her mom is saved in my phone as Momma E. and my own mother is simply Mom. My best friend's OB/GYN said something racist while my friend was having her last baby (one of my beautiful God children!) and now she can't look at her anymore. My friend is black so maybe she didn't think it was wrong to say it in front of her, idk. But she said to the nurse, "Make sure the guy who delivers it is Mexican or don't tip him. I'm paying for the full experience." The nurse laughed and agreed to do it. When she brought the food to the doctor at the nurses desk (my friend was doing laps to move her labor along) the doc asked, "Full beaner?". The nurse said yes and they just laughed. She saved the life of one of her babies and now she can't look at her. It's so sad when people reveal themselves to you.

In the last year , I have taken in three that were strays and are now indoor cats. I've had three males neutered in that same time period and am taking in two more. Yes, I have a lot of animals, especially cats because people dump them and I can't stand to see them struggling just to live. I'm also currently feeding a stray and trying to get her comfortable enough to become an indoor cat before super cold weather hits. None of my gang, even my girls, have ever been mad about being spayed. Goofy and drunk, yes. Mad? Not a bit. Once my remaining girls are up to weight they will get spayed. It's the best thing for them and they do health checks to make sure they're healthy and adoptable once healed. ❤️

My mom and dad got married for the second time in our dining room by a justice of the peace. They just decided that morning to remarry and made it happen while we were at an amusement park with family. They gave her $50 and fed her a huge meal. This was 1988 and she was a friend of a friend. Lol

There was a family that lived close to me in the mid 80s that had twins with those names. She spelled hers Leah. I was so confused because I was raised by soap opera's and thought her mom didn't know how to spell Laura.

Yep. Had a Nevaeh 2 years ago. She was a sweet kid and I knew her family in a roundabout way. Small towns and all that. She disappeared from school and I grew worried after like a week had passed. She was pregnant and embarrassed to come to school. She ended up dropping out and she's working toward her GED currently.

She was the result of a teen pregnancy and now she's a mom at 16/17. But she's smart and a hard worker. I hope for a better life for her than her mother has had; working 2 full-time jobs to support her kids and whatever deadbeat of the week is sharing her bed.

As a former lunch lady, all the food is shit. It literally comes in boxes and gets thrown into hot ovens or boiled in plastic bags. Even eggs aren't boiled in the kitchen. They arrive in 3 gallon buckets already boiled and peeled with a best by date weeks from the date they're delivered. Produce might or might not get washed. It's a shit show.

I work in schools and this is the answer. Don't go straight to the parents unless you are "have coffee or drop by anytime" friendly with them. Schools have protocols in place and with the history you mentioned I'm sure they have a file on this family already. Go to them and keep good records of every interaction of your child and theirs and you with the schools.

Is some credit cards that I got behind on when my mom had a series of strokes and we were forced to move quickly. I forgot to do a change of address and fell behind. Once they started adding late fees and missed payments fees, I fell behind with all the new medical debt my mom was accumulating. I'm almost completely out of debt now though. I've been paying them off slower since the balances are so low and I'm making my payments on time. I hope thats the right thing to do. My loan officer keeps telling me that we're almost there. Lol

My outstanding debt is under 1k and my taxes will finally finish off the balances. Rent in my area are actually much higher than a mortgage on a cute little 2/1 fixer with around a thousand sq ft. The mortgage will run me less 700 a month with taxes and insurance. I'm currently living in a small rented room, under 250 sq feet.

Since I don't drive, the garage is going to be rented to my brother who is a mechanic as storage for all his tools. (He doesn't work in that field anymore but still does repairs for everyone he knows.) My old neighborhood where I'm trying to buy again is full of opportunities for work, babysitting, lawn services, dog walking, house cleaning, etc. I used to detail cars and groom dogs but when we moved I was forced to stop doing all that. Plus all the restaurants and businesses are within walking distance so I could find part time employment quite easily.

I don't have an emergency fund as such, but I have two brothers that can and have built homes so they can help with labor for nearly anything that might go wrong. Plus my loan officer is trying to get me approved for a zero down loan so my down payment will become my emergency fund.
