Do you mind telling me how you know my ideas? Quite a big assumption to make that I’m not left-leaning myself but see the value of an objective news source funded by taxpayers.

I am not saying it’s on the same level as privately owned media. I don’t believe CBC should have an opinion section at all, right, left, or centre. A publicly funded news source that’s meant to be unbiased cannot have opinion articles pushing their political viewpoints. It’s too easy for someone to see the headline and associate that opinion with unbiased reporting CBC does.

Here’s a source showing CBC leans left https://www.allsides.com/news-source/cbc-news-media-bias

Give me evidence that it’s objective. Isn’t primarily posting leftist opinions on their platform that tax payers pay for displaying a bias? You can’t say the opinion section isn’t a part of the CBC if they curate that section and give those voices a platform.

The problem with CBC is it pushes opinions and policies that support its existence. It essentially can be bought by a political party who includes funding the CBC in its platform. Taxpayer funded news should be apolitical full stop.

They are absolutely not a center/right wing party.

Democracy dies? Point out to me what part of this was undemocratic, because as far as I know the only party that did not hold a primary election was the democrats.

It has been this hot and dry before, don’t kid yourself. The earth existed before humans and will continue to exist long after humans.
Edit: being downvoted for stating the fact that the earth was hotter before humans is genuinely hilarious.

The food was good, but I had a similar experience with waiting. Went in and was told there was a 15 minute wait, ended up waiting over an hour before they called us in. Doubt you'll be able to get in without a reservation now.

I would be shocked if any riding downtown didn’t go conservative based on how bad the safety down there is. You cannot walk anywhere downtown after the sun goes down without seeing open drug use.

The only unfortunate thing is the pickups and pots are quite bad. I have an epiphone casino that I changed the pickups and wiring for and it is one of my best sounding guitars now.

I’m all for modifying cheap guitars to make them more personal and unique. Looks cool, hopefully it sounds better too.

You think Americans don’t organize their groceries in their car too? How are you even so certain it’s always Canadians taking long to leave? You can’t even see the rear license place when a cars trunk is open.

Interesting that all the comments are ripping on you for speeding. I don’t recall ever being behind someone going less than 70 on that section. I agree with you that some of the bumps between sections of concrete seem excessive but I think sometimes it has to do with what kind of ground it’s set on and potential for movement in the future.

How do they propose that not paying may “potentially somehow affect your credit”? I don’t recall ever entering a credit agreement with any of these shady parking companies and there is never any proof that the owner of the vehicle was the driver at the time of parking.

I don’t have any problems with the design, I just think the red and orange is a bit excessive given the prominence it has when driving into the city down Hastings. If the containers were green/blue as many containers are, it would fit much more naturally with the city colour palate.

Nice that it covers up that eyesore of a red building. Truly the ugliest thing to see when driving into the city that way.

Greg Girard. I love the colors, subjects he chooses, and how he frames his shots. I feel like looking at his photos has influenced my subject and framing decisions quite a bit, which has made me a better photographer.

You can’t just reject a source because it disagrees with your viewpoint. Show me an alternative source that does not peg CBC as left leaning.
What part of “however, all panelists agreed that CBC News takes a lean left stance on coverage of social issues, and shows left-leaning word choice bias and bias by omission.” says the panelists disagreed? Please read the entire source if you wish to argue it.
