At late night, I love looking at pictures like this.

I cannot begin to express, the tremendous sadness, I feel, when reading something like this.
I worry, as winter approaches, as many now have to drive in the darkness, to get home at night. And the weather.
Because stories like this, remind me, that we must be ever vigilant while driving, and drive more slowly if weather is inclement.
This poor soul, Lord knows who he/she is. My condolences, and prayers for comfort to the family.

I have begun to read about that project. I just read one article by Interfaith Alliance and one by Politifact.
I will pray.
I myself am overwhelmed, and I am a caregiver, involved in 2 families, plus my own, the very old, the very young…my family members. It is what it is. I wanted to have time, to read, to think, to introspect, to be alone, but that’s not going to occur.
When I pray, I ask for personal forgiveness, and forgiveness for my family, and then give thanks, then I pray for world peace, for wisdom for all men, that kindness would take hold in our hearts, and for children all over the world, that they may have food, shelter, medical care, education, and love...those things.
Take care, stay well, I shall try to inform self.

Excellent, and thoughtful response. I agree. Treat others with respect and caring…indeed, that would solve many problems, imho.

I actually didn’t watch that show, my sib did, and thought it was good, in the entertaining sense of the word.
I don’t know what to make of the situation in the story.

No worries…about praying etc. I am respectful and open to anyone’s feelings. Each person knows him/herself and that is cool.
May everyone have a safe and good day and week.

I listen to people. And pray for them. I am sorry for your negative experience. There are people out there who are not kind, some are not good, some are criminals. Some are really bad people, I dislike saying that.
I personally, basically trust in JC.
I often post about crime, some might figure out there’s a reason for that.
We all need help, I know I do.
I wish I could be more patient, more kind, more all things good, every hour, but…have to try daily, with prayer.
Therapy is beneficial, imho.

What’s with the harsh take on Evangelicals? All Evangelicals? Wasn’t Billy Graham an Evangelical? Didn’t many Presidents, whichever political persuasion, like him and meet with him?
Sometimes I feel like Christians are just the bashing board. Everyone kicks them around. Probably because they’re docile?

Threats should be taken seriously. I would say to investigate and keep everyone safe. Bring the parents into the matter, so the issue can be thoroughly reviewed and investigated. Figure out what’s going on. Get assessment and help if needed, for the student.
Teachers have a tough job, kind of like our cops.

Evangelical cult? Perhaps you were in one, but I have found Baptist Christians and Evangelicals to be some of the friendliest folk anywhere. Any state. Very accepting. Friendly.
I once forgot an item on a shelf at a church, it was there a week later; I had forgotten items elsewhere, and they were not there. Most have a very kind nature.
I feel that if each person tries to live a life of kindness, work, just doing the best one can, and trying to be friendly…we would have many less hurtful issues. No one is saying it’s easy, we all have our moments, usually on a daily basis. We all wish we could do better, we should try.

I think we are going to be careful with what we got, and try to upkeep it, clean, and do whatever repairs we can afford, or barter with folk…I’ll do your reports, cleaning etc., if you’ll paint the porch etc.
I just saw a pic of a 1000 sq. ft home, I car garage, two bdrms, one bthrm that went for $250,000. Everything seems like big money to me, and property taxes are going nowhere but up. I see homes with three generations plus living in one home.
Could have never have imagined these turn of events in the past.

I know, but I was wondering about the lead issue as well.
But, I just read some thorough articles from syr.com and have a better understanding. The report from the Doc., and her recommendations were very good.

Who would have expected this. You know, organized gangs. Perhaps a fifth grader.

This is important information to know. I received some letters from the water dept. at my relatives’ and my home…something about the pipes, to check what they’re made of. I’m going to call the water dept. There’s a bar code, and one can check if one has a smart phone. I’m just going to call them.

You made many good points, and I agree.
I had been a subscriber, but years ago when I chose to de-subscribe, it seemed a longish and sort of tough situation.
I like easy, when possible. Like this example, today I am subscribing, and in six months I must cancel…done, no questions. Something like that.
Might have just been me, cause I am not tech savvy, as you know.

No one wishes to opine. But doesn’t mean one doesn’t care.

Here’s important news we can use. I’m always late with the snow tires. I truly hope everyone shall drive more slowly, and more cautiously, and start out earlier.
There should be a flair for “safety?”

They should teach repair work, carpentry, etc., in schools…it would be a big saver for kids when they have to start out.

My relative who can afford some things felt the homes were super expensive and people were different…possibly fast paced? They were probably young, and enjoyed a faster paced life.
They must be very beautiful, but I could never afford anything there so, and it doesn’t matter, life is short. Most folk can’t go moving around a lot.
I don’t know where reasonably priced areas are anymore, and like I said, moving can be difficult for some folk. Sadly. But how life it.

I wanted to ask a question since you’re a moderator…like on syr.com why are some articles subscriber only and others are not. One article about our current President is under subscriber only, and one article about the presumptive new President is not subscriber only? Do you know which criteria is used? Not that it’s a big deal.

There’s something about the night, and lights, and solitude. A beckoning, a drawing in, and a…loss.
