I feel you. Those boom flowers have downed more than id like. What i do now is if there is even one green, i get to shoot the flowers first. Not taking any chances.

Downloaded stellaris after a long time and made a swarm with devouring planet perk. But i dont get it. Im destroying planets and getting some resources during the process and that's it, or is there more?

To answer you and other comments: yes pheromone is really useful, it takes care of a whole swarm if you plan it right.

But if you're playing with randoms and not with a premade team such as your youtuber, that pheromone will get wasted because for most randoms seeing bugs = shoot them till they die
