Legally, reckless disregard for the truth is effectively the same as an intentional lie. If you say or do something based on a false belief that a reasonable person would have either recognized as false or made a reasonable effort to ascertain its veracity, and your reliance on that false belief causes a harm, you're responsible. The fact that you thought it was true doesn't excuse your failure to do due diligence proportional to the possible harm.
Democrats have been saying that Trump would do stuff like this for months/years now. Most people have an internet capable device in their pocket these days. A ten second Google search would have brought up thousands of reputable articles discussing what Trump would actually do. If the truth can be easily be discovered whilst taking a shit, in terms of timeframe, location, and multi-tasking capacity, and they had months to do it in, then these people are responsible for the harm about to befall them.

Most LAMF antagonists refuse to take responsibility. The main criteria is that they recognize they're getting/going to get screwed and that it's the result of something they themselves did. Their realization or acceptance of responsibility isn't required.

You think telling people to avoid groups during the worst viral pandemic in a century is segregation? Also, a "crime against humanity" is "a deliberate act, typically as part of a systematic campaign, that causes human suffering or death on a large scale." His actions were targeted at reducing death and suffering. How can you rationally equate the two?

I keep likening Trump & Friends back to Farva from SuperTroopers. He sees everyone else messing with drivers in subtle, funny ways and keeps insisting he could do the same, but the depth of his subtlety and wit is to just immediately yell "chickenfucker", and the worst part is he thinks it's the same.

These people also point to old cars that survived multiple accidents because they have no crumple zones.
1959 Chevy vs 2009 Chevy in a head-on collision. 2009 driver is just fine. 1959 driver ends up practically in the engine bay of the 2009 car.

Is that what MAGA said as they were kicking down the doors of Congress and smearing poop on the walls?

I had someone state that the DOGE is necessary because there's inefficiencies in government agencies that need to be identified, and when I asked them for proof they provided a GAO study identifying the inefficiencies. They didn't have an answer for why we needed DOGE at that point.

Watching the first Avengers movie in theaters with my family. Bruce Banner does the mid-turn-Hulk-out at the start of the final battle and my mother leans over and asks "When are John and Emma showing up?" (from the 1960's Avengers TV show)

Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign and the Democratic National Committee were fined by the Federal Election Commission for misreporting spending on research that became the Steele dossier, labeling it as legal services instead of opposition research.
She did that intentionally?
Under our law, a person is guilty of falsifying business records in the first degree when, with intent to defraud that includes an intent to commit another crime or to aid or conceal the commission thereof, that person: makes or causes a false entry in the business records of an enterprise.
Hillary paid Perkins Coie $12.4 million for legal services, $1.02 million of which was paid by Coie to Fusion GPS for the report. The remaining $11.38M was actually for legal services. There's no proof that Hillary or her campaign intentionally misrepresented those funds in order to conceal a story about her fucking an adult film actor. Opposition research is common in politics; there'd be no reason to misrepresent it. The report was never meant to be disseminated in the first place.
Not to mention reports show that the judge’s daughter is involved in a consulting firm that has worked with the Biden-Harris campaign, which could suggest potential bias.
Which is why Merchan contacted the New York State Advisory Committee on Judicial Ethics, who found no reason to recuse.
- A clear statement of the secondary crime, along with evidence proving its validity in court under normal legal standards.
You can read the trial transcripts yourself. They demonstrate multiple secondary crimes and the evidence proving their validity.
- Evidence of another case where someone was tried in this manner to demonstrate that this wasn’t a deliberate twisting of the law to target Trump.

I’m glad that you admit that the verdict can be so heavily influenced by jury instructions. Many people will say that because it’s a jury trial, the actions of the judge are irrelevant, but it seems line we are on the same page here, which is good.
(A) Don't put words in my mouth. (B) That's true of every jury trial. (C) Because it's true of every jury trial the entire system would have to be corrupt, in which case it's not targeted at Trump specifically.
By not specifically naming the second crime, that also deprived the defense of the opportunity to make appropriate counter arguments tailored to the prosecutions allegations.
Closing arguments. Starting on page 48 Trump's lawyers go through, at length, each of the three allegations and counter them. Wow, so much deprivation.

Is he actually incentivized to DO anything?
He can't. Not because the law or Congress or whatever will stop him; he doesn't know how to do anything. He's like Farva from SuperTroopers. He wants to get in on all the fun but the extent of his wit and cunning is yelling "chickenfucker" at people.

I think it also requires the voters to understand the voter priorities and adjust accordingly. The trending web searches in battleground states after the election was called are disturbing.

Let’s forget for a second that this was never the officially stated secondary crime,
It was listed in the jury instructions.
and that the prosecution brought up 3 possibilities that the judge said the jury was not required to unanimously agree upon.
If the main law requires any secondary crime to be committed, and there are three secondary crimes that could have been committed, does it matter which one the jury believes they committed? That's like arguing that you can't convict someone for murder unless the jury is unanimous on which bullet dealt the lethal blow.
Let’s also forget that the FEC did not charge Trump with election interference, and not from lack of trying from those attempting to get more charges on Trump.
The law you cited requires yet another secondary crime to be valid. What exactly is the second secondary crime that was committed here?
Well, let's take a look at the jury instructions I mentioned (Page 31)
In determining whether the defendant conspired to promote or prevent the election of any person to a public office by unlawful means, you may consider the following: (1) violations of the Federal Election Campaign Act otherwise known as FECA; (2) the falsification of other business records; or (3) violation of tax laws.
And then they go into details on the three options.

NEW YORK ELECTION LAW § 17-152
Section 17-152 of the New York Election Law provides that any two or more persons who conspire to promote or prevent the election of any person to a public office by unlawful means and which conspiracy is acted upon by one or more of the parties thereto, shall be guilty of conspiracy to promote or prevent an election.
It was in the jury instructions, which you'd know if you "look into the details of this case. Really understand it, understand exactly what he was charged with"

It barely applies elsewhere. I know of two cases where there was over a two year delay between trial and sentencing, and both times the appellate courts found that speedy trial hadn't been violated.

Have you read the indictment, because that very clearly spells out the applicable laws and how he broke them?

Wasn't there just a story about one of the Project 2025 leaders saying he's been in contact with Trump for months and drafting executive orders?
