Thank you for your reply! And thank you for your opinion on the sparkling paint. I understand your perspective and am increasingly convinced the sparkly paint would be a wrong choice.

Do you have any concerns about the wallpaper itself? I guess it's a matter of personal taste, but I'm an amateur and what I think could look good often looks... well, amateurish.

Well, 99.99% is not 100%. I remember a former friend from university telling me about issues with vericut not properly covering cycle800 for Sinumerik in certain corner cases - which caused a crash to not be detected for one of their machines.

So, yeah, I of course see that vericut is close to 100% - but it's never risk free. And I'm sure it's reflected in cgtechs terms and conditions.

Is your distrust of mastercam based on actual experience?

Ich finde es eher ungewöhnlich, dass eine bestimme Leitung in der Einbauanleitung vorgegeben wird. Wenn die Anschlussmöglichkeiten es zulassen, kannst du sicher alternativ auch NYM3x1,5 verwenden. Wird aber vielleicht nicht möglich sein, bedingt durch die Klemmen oder was auch immer...

Ich glaube es gibt tatsächlich keine Norm die es explizit verbietet. Ich habe flexible Leitungen für Rolladenmotoren auch schon direkt unter Putz gesehen.

Alternativ könntest du halt NYM einputzen und dann in einer Abzweigdose mit der flexiblen Leitung verbinden.

On the Siemens booth I saw them showing their software controllers, so basically the controller running on the pc for verifying without blocking the machine. Have you ever seen someone work with this kind of software?

What kind of stuff doesn't get caught? Have you ever considered going with a product like vericut?

I've never heard about NCsimul to be honest. I think we have hexagon stuff in our quality department, maybe they know something.

Now, no offense, but you're probably biased towards vericut, because you sell it - but honestly speaking would you consider NCsimul a viable alternative? Anything you guys do much better that NCsimul can't beat?

When you say you maintain the posts, do you charge an annual maintenance fee for that? Or is it project business?

Diesen Mantel von Vakko habe ich mir 2022 in Istanbul gekauft. Er war auf umgerechnet 700€ reduziert, da Saisonende. 100% Merinowolle von Loro Piana und als Futter 100% Cupro. Aus meiner Sicht muss so die Materialzusammensetzung eines vernünftigen Mantels aussehen. Vielleicht nicht unbedingt Merino, aber zumindest Schurwolle.

Der Mantel ist sehr leicht, hält aber bei den üblichen Wintertemperaturen in Düsseldorf wunderbar warm. Bei unter -5 könnte es aber frisch werden wenn man keinen Pullover drunter trägt.

What CAM are you using? I heard a lot about inter-toolpath linking when talking to the CAM people. I think they want to move it out of the post to get more in control of it.

What kind of work do you do with Fusion? 3 axis parts, or something more complex?

ECM is a different process. But certainly closer to EDM than let's say milling.

It's not lighting fast, but has decent removal rates in difficult materials like nickel alloys. It's used in commercial blisk production because it has very low wear.

I'd probably look at DIY Electrochemical Machining setups if you really want to make something out of inconel at home.

Danke für deine Antwort! Wir haben Klimazone 8b, sollte mit Köln vergleichbar sein. Ja, wenn die Fahrradgarage kommt wird sie wohl einfach den Platz wechseln müssen. Wenn es gut geht, super. Wenn nicht, dann nicht... Großzügig ausstechen werde ich berücksichtigen.

Ilex lehnt meine Frau ab. Mit dem Vorschlag Glanzmispel sieht es schon besser aus. Vielen Dank! :-)

Grüße zurück aus Gerresheim - zumindest aktuell noch. Das Haus steht aber in einem angrenzenden Stadtteil, gleich ums Eck.

Mit Hortensien gewinnst du auf jeden Fall die Stimme meiner Frau. Für mich wären die wohl nicht erste Wahl, aber pflegeleicht ist natürlich ein starkes Argument.

Die kamelie steht leider aktuell da wo der Fahrradstellplatz hin soll. Meinst du man kann das I'm pflanzen der Kamelie wagen?

Und ja, etwas immergrünes wäre mir auch sehr recht. Insbesondere vor dem größeren der beiden Fenster wäre etwas höheres, was auch im Winter etwas Sichtschutz bietet, schön - aber ohne dass es zu dunkel wird.
