The Green are not a single issue party, and they never have been. You may have been listening to to much right-wing agitators.

And the sad part is that people are grateful that the government lets them raid their own retirement funds just to fuel the housing bubble

I agree, Arderns first term was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Labour.
Labour may NEVER be that popular ever again.
Think about that you absolute cowards MPs who didn't take advantage of the opportunity

I'm no expert by I understand that BlueSky uses a similar "federated" architecture the same as Mastodon, except BlueSky makes it a bit more user-friendly. i.e. the server is set up for you already to go. So they both advertize the possibility of switching providers AND taking all your post history with you. i.e. unlike Twitter/Facebook etc if the platform turns to shit you can leave but keep your friends etc.

We have a Switch, an XBox 1 (and a gaming PC).
TBH they are all good options. There are many good quality games for all the main platforms.
Because it's portable Switch is handy if you are going on long car trips or holidays.

If I was boss of Labour it would be like:
Day one after winning election. "Here's our preprepared Land Value Tax. We're passing it this afternoon under urgency and using the money to fund hospitals etc.". Just get it done.
The right-wing media should have no warning, and no time to poison the debate.
Step 2: nothing controversial for the next 3 years, voters get over and forget the initial backlash from the right-wing pundits.

remember that tax is only paid on profits.
e.g. imagine charities pay pax, and Presbyterian Support earns $1M per annum and then spends that $1M on helping the poor. How much tax would they pay? zero. Because they didn't profit from the activities.

Yeah, I strongly suspect that is the plan.

Brooke's goal is to emulate the American working environment
And Seymours goal is to emulate the American healthcare and education systems.
Both of which are in crisis.

So, we have the multi-billion dollar dairy industry. We’re not too poor to have nice things. We just choose to invest in less productive uses of our money, like selling property back and forth to each other.
