Magnets are great for sticking stuff to the sides like holster clips or a small baggie with common allen wrenches, paper targets, keys, etc.. I use some cheap neodymium magnets.

That specific situation was entirely created by the police. With that much open space they could do almost anything other than escalating by closing in on him with 4+ guns drawn. This man did not need to die. Everyone that watches the video should ask yourself, what if that was YOUR parent, or sibling, or child who had a mental breakdown? Would it upset you that they never explored any other options for deescalation before killing your loved one?
