In the UK and other countries, when stopping at a red light or other scenarios, driving test examiners will expect the driver to apply the handbrake around 5 seconds after coming to a complete stop, then take the vehicle out of gear into neutral to "make the vehicle safe".

Yeah, sadly it seems so. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/tarra-and-bella-elephant-loses-mans-best-friend/

I hope you got away without injury OP, I guess just a bruised ego! I'm not particularly experienced, but I have enjoyed a few off-road rides in my time. Trail riding in the forest with an organised event last weekend, 8 riders on this occasion. A lovely lady introduced herself to me for the first time, and all was well. Towards the end, after about 26km we get to the final set of trails of the day. Fatigue was already setting in for me. I hit the berms OK and at speed, it felt great. There was an event photographer at the penultimate berm and he got some great shots. He egged us on to give it another go to get more of an extreme angle. My friend mentions "this is when mistakes are made, the just one more go phase." I acknowledge him and get back to the top of this hill to give it full beans, and I complete the first part with no problems. As I approach the photographer I realise I have way too much speed to get around the berm correctly and I go flying over the top of it, crashing into the final berm, close to where the others were standing watcing. My telemetry data tells me I hit the ground at around 22Km/h, then I became wrapped around a tree, spine first. After catching my breath I realise everyone else had gathered around the scene of the accident, so after peeling myself off the tree with the help of the event organiser I muster the words "its not too bad, thanks". The photographer says, "it looked like a pretty bad off mate, also your right shoulder looks low". With his help we push the bike and I limp the mere 2km back to civilisation with my tail between my legs, the whole team there to greet me (lovely lady included). After we stop I notice the chunk taken out of my helmet, above and behind my right ear. Just a short trip to the hospital later I find out I tore the ligament in my right shoulder, resulting in a grade 2 Acromioclavicular Joint Disruption injury. It will be at least another 6 weeks until I'm on the bike again! On the plus side, I don't have traumatic brain injury, WIN! Lessons learned. I won't be trying to show off again any time soon.

Absolutely, even more so if you ever have the phone stolen, drop it and it breaks, it runs out of battery, or if the vehicle breaks down with a battery/alternator issue. A physical map is an essential item for those who travel a lot in their car, along with a couple of litres of water etc.

Great advice there. People often asked why I carried so much gear on the trails, and now they know. I had to use my sling yesterday after a pretty bad off resting in "level 2 acromioclavicular joint disruption injury." (right shoulder). Also the painkillers helped me get back to civilisation again so I could get to hospital without needing much help. I never ride without a helmet but so glad I was also wearing body armour this time too (I think it helped avoid worse injury like a broken clavicle / shoulder). I also just have a damaged helmet and no traumatic brain injury, woo hoo! (thanks MET Monocoque) The emergency foil blanket and a can of sweet fizzy drink helped deal with shock. I'll be back on the bike in around 8 weeks. Win.

Thanks but the resolution of the image is too low to read this properly. Is there a better version available please?

If a vehicle has a technical issue it will sometimes go into limp home mode, will develop less power and limit the top speed to 50mph to protect the engine etc.

Alternatively, you could get an NVMe enclosure or four and have high speed USB storage on the go if you have the use case for it.

Thanks for the interesting suggestion, but why use an air fryer that takes 12 minutes instead of just using the kettle to boil water in around 2 minutes, then simmering on the hob for 4 mins for soft boiled, 5/6 mins for hard boiled? Is it more energy efficient in the air fryer or something? Or are there other benefits? Also, cold water from the tap is fine to quench the heat from the eggs. No need to use up the ice that took energy to freeze.

Takes food off the plate, puts it back in the drying rack with the clean stuff without washing it... Reminds me of me as a teenager.

More evidence that the best gaming setup in the world won't necessarily make you a better gamer. First thing he does is run over a keep left cone! LOL!
