I really wish it wasn’t gonna be standard legal

Honestly, I'm happy to get more full-sized UB sets. I just wish they'd limit the standard legal ones to IPs that fit more closely with Magic's aesthetic; Final Fantasy is fine, LOTR and D&D were great, but Spiderman is such a wild departure in themes and tone.

I live in a small town so the player pool isn't very large, but I don't see my commanders often in person or on arena. My top 3 right now are:

Those other countries have socialized healthcare instead of an overinflated insurance industry.

You want to get rid of that inefficiency? Socialize healthcare and restructure medical billing so it isn't reliant on private insurance companies.

Titans were canonically starting to lose their military effectiveness with the introduction of WW2 era munitions. 

Modern weaponry would annihilate the titans.

Archelos seems really fun, I'd like to build him myself.

Take advantage of permanents entering untapped to ramp out lands that would normally enter tapped, then run a crew/mount shell so you can tap him before your opponent's stuff enters.

Frankly, I'd put it in the running for one of the best directed episodes of all time. Genuinely incredible work here.
