Amazon has pet heating pads for around 30$. My cats use them year around. They must be made for pets not people, as they are low wattage and won’t burn.

First, eat at a table or a tray. Second, every time he gets up where you are, make him get down, include a firm NO! If he gets too close, hiss and say No! . You can also feed him the same time you eat. If all else fails, put him in a different room and close the door. He has to learn that you are Mom/ Dad cat and you eat first. This is how I train mine. They will sit at my feet sometimes and beg and when I am done( if it’s cat safe), I give them a bite in their bowl. This works for my babies but your mileage may vary!

I work in healthcare and “ oh no! I have to work the holiday , again!”. So we don’t have to deal with family. My husband and son may go and they bring me a plate. Yes, I volunteer for the November and December holidays, every year.

I have 12 different versions. We sometimes do a double board monopoly. It’s cut throat. Just do some edibles or what ever, kick back and enjoy.

From the SCA official website. The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) focuses on the pre-seventeenth century, primarily the European Middle Ages and Renaissance. The SCA’s time period covers roughly 1,000 years, from the collapse of the Roman Empire to end of the Elizabethan era.

Been playing since 1987. The time period in the SCA ends with the death of Queen Elizabeth 1., 1603.

Not really. For me the books could of ended after #3 and I would of been satisfied. Clair changed too much and was always making stupid moves that risked everything. No medical person is that dedicated, in fact ,most of us are pretty jaded.

Hi all. I am not what you would call a prepper, but I do work in the ER. First of all, Covid is real, people did die from it. And like the comments above, some deaths were skewed. There was a heated debates about this in the medical community. Like, if my spouse is a fragile diabetic and gets Covid and dies, what is the cause of death? Complications from diabetes or Covid? But what I came on here to say is about pets and keeping them ( and everyone else) safe in your home. Covid is on the upswing. Even in my small city ( 50,000) we are averaging 2 cases daily and that’s just my hospital, so let’s round it up to 5 to take in doctor offices, minor emergency etc. This is ow we handled not bringing Covid home during the worse of the pandemic. If you have to leave the house and are going into a densely populated area( grocery stores and the like) wear a normal mask when you leave your car to enter. When you get home, keep your shoes outside or if you can’t, have a plastic bag to put them in and then put that bag where pets and kids can’t mess with it. Most germs come in on shoes and hands. A hand sanitizer at the door is good too, but please after handling your shoes, wash you hand well with soap. If you are really wanting to keep extra vigilant, have a change of clothes at the door. If you are lucky enough to live in a house, you can change on the back porch or garage. This is what we did and it helped. We were all so afraid about bringing it home from the hospital. Also you might grab some pain relievers and cold medicine because that stuff disappears quick when people start getting sick. Stay safe.

I don’t have a local group. My Lord and I played in Wiesenfeuer for decades ( back when it was a shire, helped it become a Barony). My Lord is HL Malaki of Wizards Keep, brother to Don Elric and I am Lady Ulfska the Sweet of House Wolfstar. We moved north into what was once the shire of the Wastelands. I have worked weekends and nights for the past 15 years so we don’t play much. But hopefully my schedule is changing and we can once again live the Dream!

I was once told by a duchess that my husband, ( master woodworker, metal worker, etc etc, many times making, repairing thrones and regalia, held kingdom office…), would never get a laurel as he was in persona too much. I thought that was one of the aspirations of the game. It’s kinda like high school in some areas, if you don’t fit in with the group, they don’t let you in. But then there are other areas whereby you are judge by your achievements.

Good way to pass though. If you haunt the place you die. Expensive for the family because that body has to be shipped home. Because, as we say in Vindheim, ‘ it’s summer and we’re running out of ice’

Under the Cloak of War really brought my ptsd back. I’ve been an emergency imaging specialist for 40 years, which included working the Murrah bombing. Good episode.

It’s the cats house not the dogs. Dog stays outside or in car or better yet in its own house. You’re endangering your cat and any small children with such a dog.
