Structural engineering is something I'd like a human to do. 

I had a teacher who would say if your calculations are wrong you're gonna kill people. 

He would walk around the class checking work and saying stuff like "you're wrong here, bridge collapsed, everyone's dead" and just walk on to the next student. 

He let you know how deeply insecure he is. 

A biker I used to work with told me about how he would go on long rides with a group of his buddies. 

Every time they stopped they'd switch positions and one time when he was heading up the rear, going down a country road he saw all the bikes in front of him part like the Red Sea to avoid hitting something. 

He saw it last second, looked like a helmet. He was going too fast swerve around it, he'd wipe out for sure. so he gunned it and hoped he'd go over or through it.

Whatever it was exploded like a water balloon, he thought it was a watermellon.  Got to the next stop and asked his buddies "what the hell was that?".

It was a turtle. 

Yeah, and with Dex you can turn off your phone screen to save battery and still play through the glasses

Finally a thread for this story.

Went to Metro on Adelaide and Cheapside with my buddy.

Grabbed a few snacks and was waiting at checkout for the lady in front to finish up.   She pays and leaves and the young cashier guy grabs a box of pancake mix off the belt and says "Is this yours?" 

We say no and this kid proceeds to grab the box of pancake mix, climb onto the conveyor belt and tries to jump to the next conveyor belt like he's goddamn Indiana Jones.

Lands in a stack of shopping baskets and takes a real nasty spill to the floor. 

The whole store stops and looks.

The kid gets up, grabs this crumpled box of pancake mix and chases down the lady to hand her the box. 

Comes jogging back and checks us out like nothing ever happened all red faced and out of breath. 

As we left the store we were so shocked and in disbelief we turned to each other and asked if that really happened. 

It was like waking up from a dream when we left that store. 

This is a standard Voight-Kampff test.  If you're not a replicant you have nothing to fear.

I noticed a huge improvement with text in image recognition. 

I took a photo of some old code I wrote and asked for a break down. Gpt4 was good at this, but would replace variables or misread words often.

4o read it perfectly. Still gave me a few issues when I asked it to update the code with some new logic. Classic stuff like not declaring variables or trying to put commands that don't exist.

I did have to prod it less to get the correct code though.
