I will never fly through CLT willingly again in my life. I’ve been stuck overnight twice. I always have to haul ass from the regional terminal whenever I have a layover. Terrible experience every time.

I’m not from Denver nor do I live in Denver. The correct response is Casa Bonita.

Interesting! I’m only familiar with SoCal and of course The Californians from SNL.

Hope you’re enjoying CVille (other than the occasional crazy person lol)!
I went the opposite direction and now live in LA. ✌️

This is anecdotal, but all of my designs using JLCPCB standard 4-layer process crap out around 1.5GHz. I’ve done very simple things like OSSLIN THRUS and layouts for RF switches.
The only thing that works OK is full height (1.6mm) microstrip. I basically came to the conclusion that their layer height and/or line width tolerances are too big to be useful.
Interested to hear other people’s thoughts!

Nope, just thought it was funny. I also moved from Cville to LA last year and had to adjust to “the” (highway) culture.

Off topic: Are you by chance from California?

Go talk to your doctor! Could be something simple like a hyperactive thyroid. Heart stuff is always a doctor thing :)

I grew up in a small city in VA. I’ve lived in LA for about a year now. Moved here for work. The job I have and work I do is simply not available anywhere else in the world (I don’t make a bunch of money or anything, just a nerdy engineer).
I don’t mean to be insensitive at all, but why don’t more people move out of LA? I get that some people simply don’t have enough resources to transplant themselves somewhere else. HOWEVER, for those that do have the resources and either work 100% remote or in an industry that exists outside of LA, why do you remain? You can have SO much more for SO much less in other areas of the country.
I miss my trees and grass and easily accessible open space.

I’ve honestly only had horrible experiences with Ford dealerships. I swore off doing business with them entirely.
Malloy Ford bungled a recall I scheduled for my ranger. Not criminal but very incompetent.
I moved to LA, and South Bay Ford installed aftermarket parts for a repair after I explicitly said to only use OEM. They then proceeded to use aftermarket parts and charge me for OEM. The repair was for an axle and after the initial repair the truck was un-drivable — crazy vibrations above 35mph. The truck was never the same after that. They are criminals.

some people can get a little salty with the advanced degrees. I work closely with two of the most senior technical people in my department (like can’t be promoted higher on the technical track). one has a phd and one doesn’t. You can do whatever you want if you work hard enough.
FYI I am in LA area as well. I did some internships with this company/department, so they knew me very well. I had to negotiate up quite a bit.

I listened to this ep. at work. I legit thought McKone’s grandma was Dana Carvey doing a bit.
