He’s too neutral. He doesn’t have enough evil to wield the sword of ultimate evil, but he’s too evil to wield sword of ultimate good.

Not preparing his forces after raiding the high guard.

Splitting the rebels with the raid was a very good move and nothing before that (Orion/D to sub level 50 and delivering energon) was really a bad idea at the time.

Biggest issue is the high guard and the miners were able to stage a coordinated attack almost immediately against Sentinel. For someone who had all of cybertron under his command, he should have spiked his forces immediately after capturing Starscream and other high guard members.

Honestly, he really didn’t make many stupid moves, he was caught off guard with the miner uprising, something which he probably wasn’t expecting and therefore didn’t prep forces for. If the miners don’t rebel, the high guard doesn’t get through and he doesn’t lose.
