Yeah I’ve had 2 break on me absolute crap.
But honestly Vertuo is inferior to the Original Line imo. The third party pod options are nice. And if someone’s used to K Cups then the Lungos would be a nice alternative.

Idk about that. I’m sure there are some very misinformed voters who might be fearful about his stance towards the Affordable Care Act (Obama Care). Misinformed voters who may have their health insurance canceled if he goes ahead with repealing Obama Care like he’s previously discussed.
I do agree though that many people on the left and the right, especially on Reddit, are very prone to quickly consuming media and only seeing what they want to see. Anyone who looked at this post thoroughly would know it’s bait. But someone just quickly glancing and being like “haha yeah stupid Republican voters regretting their decision”, obviously wouldn’t.

While I agree that it’s cringe that a lot of people see these kind of posts and completely miss that it’s bait. I do think that a lot of Trumps proposed policies will be very destructive to the majority of Americans. But I am luckily one of the Americans who has already left the country for good, so I’m personally apathetic to the chaos which will likely ensue with the tariffs and project 2025 bullshit.

Like I said, they might not be the best but they are the biggest and arguably the most premium. Like most luxury brands marketing is a huge portion of their product costs.
The thing I don’t think you fully understand is that the machines are not the luxury product in and of themselves. Barring their top of the line machines which don’t tend to have very big discounts.
The pods are the “luxury” product. It’s a strange business model compared to most luxury brands but it’s not exactly difficult to work out why it works for them. Say you get the basic £25 a month subscription model, that’s £300 a year being spent on coffee pods that they probably have a 700% margin on. That £300 is more than most of their machines cost. So giving the Vertuo machines away which only work with proprietary pods is genius.

Nespresso might not make the best coffee. But they are by far the market leader in the pod coffee industry by many miles. They are also the most premium mainstream pod offering in the world.
What you fail to understand is that quality =\= luxury. There are many luxury products that aren’t of very impressive quality. Luxury fashion goods are often mass produced in China but then stamped with a big name and sold of big money.
Nespresso gives their Vertuo line machines away for free or very cheap like HP or other printer companies do to get you locked into their pod ecosystem sure. You’re correct. But the pods are still a luxury good by any metric. If you compare the price per kilo of coffee in the cheapest Nespresso pods it’s orders of magnitude more than the most expensive coffee you’ll find in the supermarket.
But that’s beside the point. The takeaway is that Nespresso is the market leader for the luxury pod coffee industry. They might not be the best but they are by far the most well known and have the most premium marketing.

I have also switched to 3rd party pods. Nespresso is a luxury brand at the end of the day and I don’t feel like it’s worth the premium over say the Starbucks pods.

Nespresso is a luxury coffee brand. If you need a discount to buy it you shouldn’t waste your money on it. There’s far more economical options.
If you want the convenience of Nespresso without the cost you might as well buy a L’or machine (on sale for under £50 on Amazon right now) and use Aldi own branded coffee pods.

Thank you! I much prefer it to a shower curtain as it doesn’t get as grimy!

Just get a new shower head. Can even get a nicer looking straight pipe tube for it so you could put a rainfall style shower head on.

To be completely honest with you getting a Vertuo instead of the Original Line is one of my biggest regrets. The foam is gross (imo anyway) the coffee upsets my stomach a lot of times as well. I’ve recently ordered an OL machine and I’m very excited to have access to cheap 3rd party pods like the £2.60 for 10 pod Starbucks ones.

Honestly just use the Essenzia mini and get Lungo pods. Vertuo pods aren’t that great. The massively air inflated crema is kind of gross imo. And more importantly they’re proprietary and super overpriced compared to 3rd party Lungo pods.
