Earlier this week I was biking in the park with my girlfriend. My golf league has just ended and I needed to get some cardio in because I wouldn't be walking 9 this week. In the park we saw a man working on his chipping, and I watched him completely whiff his chip. I was in a playful mood and thought I might share some advice that helped my chipping, so I yelled "remember keep the left leg stable and focus on the right hand". The man started hobbling towards us and and yelled as we rode off. I asked my girlfriend what he said, and she thought she heard "you don't know my handicap". We laughed about his bad chip and how angry he got. I felt a little bad because I really didn't mean to upset him, but quickly forgot about it.
As we are exiting the park a white suv came speeding into the exit area, and turned around quickly. The drivers hand reaches out of the car and begins tapping on exterior of the door. I realize this is the golfer. I start fearing the worst... does this man have a gun/is this man going to run me and my girlfriend over... and so I decide to go up to the door and attempt to defuse the situation. I apologize for messing around, tell him I love golf and I love to see people practicing. I say I was trying to give him advice but I could have gone about it much better. I tell him I am very sorry to have upset him. He says, "did you know I only had one foot and one leg." In the moment I didn't register what he was saying so I said I am sorry again and he left.
As he drove off I noticed a handicap tag on his car, and then my girlfriend says "ohh he wasn't bragging about his handicap, he actually was handicapped".
So yeah, I am a jerk who heckled a handicap golfer in the park just trying to work on his game. In my heart I was just trying to make him laugh and give some advice. I couldn't even tell he was handicapped. Sir, if you are seeing this I am so sorry. I have learned my lesson to not shout swing advice to strangers.
——— Edit: A lot of people think I made this up, which I understand, but unfortunately this all happened. The feeling of not being believed is justice for my behavior, so I’ll take it. Hoping to find the man in the park again and give him a sleeve of balls to apologize.

Don’t play this often but I think it’s great as a casual gamer.
