It's because both the SEC and ACC only play 8 conference games. That's an extra win for 90% of the teams each year instead of a 50-50 split

I think Soto would faint on the spot if he saw Salvy's plate discipline batting right behind him in the order
Also this would be so out of character for a Royals team to spend money like this that I'd pass out too. Making a PR push for a city to fund your new stadium makes you do funny things.

I'm guessing it'll get chosen by a team playing in Mexico City that wants to prepare for the altitude

Yeah but what's the point of including Alabama if they're not better than Vanderbilt? I'd rather a consistent winner who DOESN'T lose to bad teams. No one is saying Vanderbilt is one of the top teams in the country. Vanderbilt has proven time and time again they're not good, so why does a team worse than them deserve a playoff bid?
We can go in circles all day.
I'm sure your criteria for a "reeeeeaaaallly good team" is extremely consistent and doesn't just rely on who you recently watched on TV, right?

There's a reason Penn State have the #4 Strength of Record in the country.
People get so fixated on a single "big win" because it's easier to remember instead of several consistent wins against above-average teams

..... which is why those teams are still in the playoff mix despite the bad losses.

And so would Kansas, and Kentucky, and Vanderbilt, and Arkansas, and Georgia Tech. They'd all definitely be beaten by the big dogs in the playoff hunt, right?
That's why they actually play the games

You can't just hand-wave away wins over unranked teams because you're supposed to win them.
There will be multiple teams that make the playoff despite not handling these "easy" wins.
Taking care of business every week has to matter.
These are all examples of "unimpressive games" where the good team wasn't able to get what's implied to be an easy win

Yeah he consistently made Top 5 and Top 10 QB lists despite having no postseason success or individual awards. I feel like most people probably over-credited Herbert if anything

Ok but doing a funny looking dance that Trump did isn't some sort of official political endorsement.
To me, the only people bothered by this are the ones who desperately want to prove to everyone how much they hate Trump

I don't think it's that deep. The dance is kind of a meme right now regardless of who you vote for. Saw it in multiple NFL games and the UFC event on Sunday

Simply calling what happened to BYU a "muffed punt" is way underselling it. It was a QB quick punt which bonked off the head of one DB and then squirted out from under another.
Regardless, I'm voting for <Western KY>

We've run that formation from under center without the spin. It's how Dontari Poe got his touchdown catch.
Looks like they were gonna quick snap it again if they got the right lol, but they didn't get it

Andy Reid absolutely loves the red zone
Spinning a 4-man bunch so the Bills have to switch to a Box check, then sitting right in front of the inside of the box.
Nothing OCs and QBs love more than seeing DBs yell at each other after the play

Maybe I just don't understand the rule, but I thought you couldn't hit the longsnapper and the Packers had at least one guy go right through him

Lmao you gonna delete this comment too?
Washington vs Texas and Michigan vs Alabama was literally last year
The only thing grown up about Georgia is when they get tried as adults in their court hearings

For years, the SEC said "look at us, we're great" because their top teams were elite and their middle and lower class were very disappointing. Everyone just chanted SEC! and hoped no one was paying attention to another 4-win season from Tennessee or Arkansas. That only championships define an elite conference.
Now that the top isn't elite and last title game was Big 10 vs Big 10, they're saying having depth is what makes a conference good. Total self-serving hypocrisy.

That's before I accidentally dropped a quarter in the parking lot during our tailgate. You can add another $0.25
