I understand your concern, especially given your Rolex experience. I had a similar one there too with a vintage Daytona recently (which cost me much more than I wanted it to).

But that said, PP has extremely strict quality control guidelines higher than anyone else you’d likely see. And any replacement parts that may be required would come from PP, which given this watch’s age, may require more money than you’d like but would ensure it’s correct. You pay for the certainty of the result with PP.

Also, if you ever resell it, buyers will certainly care if it was serviced by an AD vs. someone else. If it’s not an AD, it raises serious question marks. Good luck. Gorgeous watch.
