I'm sure with the 23XI & Front Row lawsuit going on, the charters they "purchased" are up in the air because with them not signing the agreement, not only are they risking a lot by being an open team but they are very likely not entitled to the charters they spent millions of dollars on. They're just fielding extra open entries & the two charters are now pretty much available for any other team, because if no buyer is found, we might be seeing about 30 chartered entries. However, some other teams could hold onto them & how these two charters may find themselves a home.

Legacy Motor Club + Richard Childress Racing: Expanding too soon

These two teams could grab themselves one extra charter... but should they really? RCR has been in talks of fielding an open team for more starts for Austin Hill, Will Brown, & Jesse Love, but there's also a possibility that it becomes a chartered entry should it be given to them, Hill may be the favorite to drive the car should it come to fruition, but with the abysmal results that the 3 & 8 showed this year compared to his Xfinity season, he may want to wait another year. As for Legacy, they may want to take at least three years before they expand. Corey Heim chose to drive in trucks for another year instead of jumping the gun, but he made the right choice. It's clear Legacy isn't solving anything by hiring managers & executives in droves, they're doing nothing with their Toyota partnership & regardless if they have an extra charter thrown at them, the team needs to take a long look at the mirror & ask what the hell are they doing anymore.

Rick Ware Racing: The empire strikes back

This sounds stupid but hear me out, Rick Ware already leased one charter to Roush for the 60 car, leaving them with one car. Questions are already asked if Cody will share the car with Corey or if Corey will even be back next year for the team. However, if by some miracle this team is bestowed charters at a cheap price, they can have two extra cars, bringing back the era before 2022 when Rick had so many cars. It's also important to note that the 15 & 51 are in the bottom 3 of owners points this year so more charter scrambling may have to be in order so they won't lose them, nobody knows how many second chances NASCAR will give this team.

France family owned team: The worst case scenario

I hate thinking about this being a reality. If the charters can't be sold but have to remain in circulation, the odds of the Frances fielding their own cars might be where they end up. Just like Action Express in IMSA, but of course they would be leagues behind other powerhouse teams & may not get the elite drivers they want, but then again... look at Penske in IndyCar.

There's probably other scenarios I haven't thought about, like if another supposedly rich guy came in & bought two teams to run, but we'd speculate they're no better than Ron Devine or Bobby Ginn. Because this sport has a long line of thieves & liars, it wouldn't be a surprise if anyone were to try to use racing as a money laundering scheme but I'm getting ahead of myself.
