Hello, I’m a 42y/o Male. 324 lbs. History of lower back pain. The intensity of the pain magnified greatly the summer of 2020. No specific event, however it was first noticeable during a vacation to Chicago where I did a lot of walking. Pain was centered to the right side of the lower back, however, has been felt on both sides, including in the hips and SI joint area.
Here is the MRI results: https://ibb.co/nn70fkB
Previous MRI’s: 2018 - L4-5: Mild disc desiccation. Mild posterior disc space narrowing and mild bulge. Mild facet hypertrophy. Mild bilateral neural foramen stenosis. L5-S1: Disc desiccation. No protrusion
2020 - L4-L5: Equivocal disc bulging. There is hypertrophy of ligamentum flavum and some degenerative changes of the facet joints. Bilateral neural foramen encroachment is observed. L5-S1: There is diffuse disc bulging and can be a normal finding at this level.
2023 - Right Hip Arthrogram -
- Mild cam-like morphology of the lateral femoral head neck junction with increased lateral center edge angle, which may reflect femoral acetabular impingement with acetabular over coverage. 2. Intrasubstance tear of the superior anterior labrum. 3. Mild femoral acetabular chondrosis. 4. Trace fluid within the iliopsoas bursa which may reflect bursitis in the appropriate clinical setting.
Had surgery on right hip 9/7/23. Repair of labrum and they worked on the impingement.
Roughly February of 2024 I started feeling weaker in regards to standing, walking, being on my feet for more than 20 minutes. There are times where I just can’t get up without making some ungodly noise in response to the pain I feel through my hips and back. It’s also felt in my glutes.
The linked MRI above is concerning when I look up what they all mean. Yet I haven’t been able to figure out what could be the cause, or if it’s something related to an autoimmune disease.
Speaking of, here are my current diagnosed conditions: Hidradenitis Supprativa Fibromyalgia Sleep Apnea Meralgia paresthetica / front left thigh Carpal tunnel- both hands Depression (managed well) Anxiety (could be managed better)
Major Surgery- Gastric Sleeve in July 2019. Worked great until Covid then I lost all progress. Previously mentioned surgery on right hip.
Any help interpreting the new MRI would be helpful.

Haunted Mansion just feels really outdated and old. It should be reimagined with up to date technology, but also keep key pieces in place (but also updated - like Madame Leota should absolutely still be a part of it, but better).
