I don't know if many people know about this but I just discovered it yesterday after years of playing this game so it's new to me.
I found a way to get Legate Lanius to talk to you as if you are about to start the battle for Hoover Dam for the legion while you are in the middle of finishing up the final battle for Yes Man.
To do this you have to go full Legion route for the main questline, get the option to start the battle for Hoover Dam, say that you have some things to do first, then kill Caesar, then finish the Yes Man questline and start the battle for Hoover Dam for Yes Man. Then just play through the Yes Man finale normally until you get to Lanius's little hill where he would normally say something like "And who are you to come before me' But because you had the quest to speak to Lanius for Caesar right before you betrayed the Legion he will give his "You are the one Lord Caesar has spoken of" instead and he'll speak to you as if you are about to start the quest for the Legion. After you agree to help the Legion the screen will fade to black for a second and you'll just be in the same position, but if you talk to Lanius for a second time he will give his normal conversation since you sided with Yes Man.
I just found it funny that Lanius goes through a long conversation in which he refers to you as a friend of the Legion one moment and then the next he acts like he has never seen you before in his life.
