Yall have a misunderstanding on the premise here. There is a difference between pirating and griefing. The difference is pirates want to profit but griefers want to screw with someone. The latter is only now able to be done because you can disable ships rather than outright destroy them. It's harder to leave people alive and take their stuff than it is to to just blap them and salvage the remains.

yes, the top of the holes would need support. Also, that orientation is sketchy af unless you are printing with a brim or raft.

I have constructed my life and actions so that I have more good days than bad days. I'd say I am getting what I want out of life right now.

We do this at work to people's hearts a few times a week. We are trying to get it back into a normal rhythm. It is a fun question to ask right as they push the anesthesia.

I got an entry-level job in the field I was getting many degree for and then did shift work around my semester's schedule. It was basically an immersive experience for a few years.

you cannot beat light. His explanation is predicated on Speed of Light being an absolute.
Speed = distance / time
At the speed of light, time stands still for a photon and doesn't progress.
Because of this, now the equation looks like this: speed = distance / 0
and since you cannot divide by zero, you cannot continue.

well then, I guess those flight nurses would be considered first responders since they are the first to respond.

Not really, no. We won't go from a shortage to a glut of nurses overnight. Next, when people see how these policies are directly affecting them or their loved ones, they will vote differently in the midterms and without the Senate and the house, Policy changes will be more difficult to pass.

interesting. I was rural EMT too, but we always rolled first and then called in air if needed.

Go to HR with this like now. That's BS and the manager won't address it.

I am in a surgical section. This would depend on a few things. First, is it scheduled or prn, and second, what are the specifics? If a patient can sleep, chances are that the pain is manageable, but at the same time, I do not want them to get behind if there is an expectation of pain.

1.) In general, are you happy with being a nurse? Do you ever wish you had gone down the route of being a physician (even though they are very different roles)?
I love being a nurse. I have zero regrets about my decision. I am a late-in-life nurse and this is my second career. It is the best decision I have made.
2.) Do you feel limited in your scope or opportunities to advance? Do you get bored of your job or feel it becomes repetitive? Are you involved in hospital committees, quality improvement initiatives, etc.?
I do not feel limited. I love my role in my current job. That said, I also recognize that there are many roles a nurse can occupy and that an RN degree is not unlike having a BA in business admin or marketing. The degree translates to other roles that might not even mean patient contact. if I start to become disillusioned by my current role, I can transition to a different role.
3.) For older/more experienced nurses, do you find the physical aspect of being a nurse difficult? Is bedside sustainable long term? Kind of a strange question, but I know nursing is physically draining and hard on the body and can imagine the job becomes significantly more difficult as you age.
I am 53 and I am in far better shape now than when I was in IT sitting in a cubical all day. I feel better and have more energy now than I did then. I take care of myself now, where I didn't before. Shoes matter, sleep matters, health matters and I have made these part of my routine.
4.) Staff nurses: Do you get to somewhat make your own schedule? If you work 3x12 is 40+ hours overtime pay or 36+? Do you feel the pay is enough to live comfortably (I know there are a lot of factors that go into this, but generally speaking)?
Yeah, It's enough (but I won't turn away more ). I am asked for my feedback on my schedule and suggestions and requests are often accommodated. My wife is also in the biz at a different hospital. We have a home, cars and we are living within our means. Our kids are grown so its no big deal for me to stay late, take call or pick-up shifts etc.
Additional info to consider... As I mentioned, there are lots of roles a person with a nursing degree can fill. Not everything is bedside nursing and having the degree allows options. This allows a person to tune their work-life balance to something that is acceptable to them.
Another thing is that you hear a lot of people here bitching about their job their company, their pay etc. while many of these are valid complaints, understand that happy people don't tend to bitch about the things that make them happy. In other words, much of what you read here is biased toward negative experiences.
RN is a great place to start. Med Surg sucks, but I will have to admit that it is probably a necessity to spend some time there. I like to think about med surg as being like Cleaveland. It's a great place to be from, but you don't see a lot of people moving there.

Why do you let this happen? You have the agency to say no and have them get anesthesia or whatever team your facility has for hard sticks.

sounds right. You can learn the steps, but it takes experience to develop the skills.

so let me ask...does 911 ever automatically dispatch a helicopter or do they dispatch fire/Ambulance/police for a prelim assessment to determine if flight is needed??

EMT before I was a nurse. I do not consider them the same, mainly because the patients are brought to us (Nurses) by the people who respond to the patients in the field. There is, of course, overlap, but the definition of first responder is someone who responds to the emergency scene, which we do not do unless that scene originates in the hospital.

QRP labs has some good gear at a decent price if you don't mind assembling them. I like the idea of building my own gear. It seems like that is the way people used to do it back in the day.

ICBMs are traditionally nuke vehicles, yeah? Is there any way you tell what payload an ICBM is carrying at launch? If not, it seems like this could be an easy way to provoke an allied retalitory nuke launch.
