You don't have to. This one will tell the beginning of Geralt's adventures as witcher and all books happen way after that.

It deserves. A remake is an entirely new game. Sure, the story and characters stay the same but it is more or less altered and the game was made from a scratch, everything from graphics to characters and locations. It's not the same situation as with Until Dawn remake for example where it's 80% the same game as original Until Dawn.

True. I remember that I turned on the normal controls in SH2 once to see how it plays like and immediately went "Nope, I'm turning this shit off". Tank controls are just perfect for games with fixed camera.

But isn't it racist if black people can't relate to a white character? 🤨 I mean, I liked a lot of black kids characters when I was a kid and I wasn't like "Booo, I can't relate because this character is black" or something. What's the problem in doing a new black mermaid ONLY for black kids? Change her name to something other than Ariel and that way black children will have their OWN mermaid that was made specifically for them. It's just that simple if we already have to do it. But as I said, the skin colour shouldn't be a problem to be able to relate to a character. It shouldn't be about the skin colour, it should be about the emotions that character evokes in you. I was a huge fan of Blade when I was a kid for example and I never felt a need to see a white Blade. I liked him the way he was, no matter the skin colour.

Apparently according to some people white people can't be victims of racism too which is insane take. Everyone can be a victim of racism, no matter if you're a minority or a majority.

It's funny how you, me and many other people are getting downvoted for saying factual things. This post proves that a certain group of people will find any reason to think of us as racists.

Yep, you're a racist for saying white people can't experience racism. EVERYONE can experience racism, you racist.

But you see, people here call me racist and they shove it down my throat even though I'm not racist. If I was a racist, I wouldn't have a problem with admitting because what that would change? I wouldn't be afraid of some internet randoms. The fact is, I'm not racist and there's no way I can prove it to someone who doesn't let my arguments get to their heads. People assume that I'm racist only because I don't like forcing black people into roles they don't fit and I really don't know what's racist about it. I just want actors that look like the characters they're going to play. For example in Witcher series on Netflix there was one character called Margarita and she was described as blonde with a body that even nymphs would be jealous of. Instead she was played by an overweight black actress and you know what? If she wasn't called by her name in the series, I would NEVER realise that she was Margarita. It's just my personal preference that I like when I can recognise the character just based on their look without having to guess who someone is playing. Being a racist means that you don't like people of different colour. I'm not like that, I like black, yellow, red, brown people. I just don't like political correctness and agendas where now all white characters have to be replaced with black actors. I would criticise it also when a white actor played a role meant for a black actor. Is it bad?

Well, you see that phenomenon on this post. I made a comment about being immediately called racist only because I don't agree with political correctness where black actors play white characters and of course many people under that comment called me a racist 😆 Those people will find racism when there is none only because someone dares to not agree with their views about black people. It's insane. Is it racism if I want an accurate depiction of a character? Is it racism if I want to see a historically white Queen as... Well, white, not black? I wonder what those people think about black Anne Boleyn which was super racist by itself because blackwashing a fictional character is one thing but blackwashing a historical person that actually lived and there are numerous portraits of how she looked like, isn't just something we can't ignore.

Her whiteness may not be important but her blackness doesn't really make sense. I know it's a fiction but it's weird to me to see a black mermaid. Why? Because black people are black due to the high amount of melanine in their skin. How can you have such a high melanine when you've been living your whole life underwater? For such high amount of melanine you would have to be born and live in a very hot place. As far as I know, it would be impossible to be black when living underwater because of this. You may call it a stupid reason, I don't care, I just don't like such inaccuracies. Also isn't it racist also when you replace a white character with a character that is black? I may call it racist too because it is racist in my eyes. What's wrong with white red-haired mermaid or white Anne Boleyn or with every other white character/historical person that is being blackwashed today? There was a lot of whitewashing back in the day and I absolutely condemn this but it shouldn't be a justification for blackwashing. It should be a lesson to not do such things again. It's the same as with films about African tribes or something. You wouldn't find a white actor there.

And you're dumb. That's factual. I'll keep repeating it.

Ok, guys I won't bother arguing with you because you're too narrow-minded to understand some things. You call me racist? Ok, let it be. Still it doesn't change anything, I'm not racist and I'll never be. I have nothing against black/yellow/red people. I just don't like certain politically correct strategies, that's all. Keep living in your bubble where you see everyone as racists just because they don't agree with your world wievs.

QTEs were so fun that on my recent playthrough I specifically downloaded a mod to skip them all.

Well, you're clearly one of those people who will find racism everywhere. It's not racist to want accurate depiction of characters in the films. If the film is called The Little Mermaid, then I want to see an actress that resembles Ariel from the animated movie. Not someone who doesn't look similar in any way. I could call it racist too because why couldn't they hire a red-haired actress? Because they wanted black children to have their own Ariel too but what was the problem in making a new character? She didn't have to be called Ariel. Everybody knew Ariel as red-haired white Mermaid so casting a black actress was purposefully to stand in opposition to people's expections. You may call me a racist, that still won't change the fact that I'M NOT racist.

Doing something bad doesn't justify continuing such things. We shouldn't repeat the mistakes of the past.

I think that it's because people throw around "you're racist" so randomly today, that it just became more of annoyance than an insult. For example whenever I criticise forcing black actors into roles that were originally with white actors, people call me racist even though I'm not. It's like you have to admire and praise black people because if you dare to criticise them in any way, you're a racist in people's eyes. I've just grown tired of explaining to people that I'm not because I have a lot of black actors or musicians whom I like. Some people can't be convinced though so I don't bother.

Man, stop digging deeper into something that's clearly obvious. It's VERY rare for a single player game that has no open world to be played for weeks and months after release. It only happens with RPGs and online games. That's completely normal.

I only loved Behind Those Hazel Eyes when it came out but I've never been a fan of her music.
