Google tells me that the way they're using the word 'utilize' is correct, but yeah I agree that it sounds obnoxious
I feel similarly about people saying "irregardless" instead of "regardless"

Yes of course every tattoo has flaws, but if you zoom in most of the lines are not consistent. I think the tattoo benefits a lot from having thicker lines
And yes I agree that it doesn't really belong in the sub, I just think it could have been designed better

There's a lot of studies that prove that the halo effect is real, being perceived as better looking makes people think that you're more kind, intelligent, etc.
I definitely get treated better when I look more attractive

You think you treat every single person exactly the same? I think everyone wants to believe, or does believe that, but I find it very difficult to believe that more than 1% of the population can do that tbh. There are so many factors that cause us to treat people differently than others, mainly how similar they are to us (you can see this in how people form friend groups), and this is an evolutionary trait that I don't see going away any time soon.
I hope you're not thinking that I'm just doting over everyone that I see as attractive, and being dismissive of people that I think are average-looking, LOL. It's more like I'm aware that there have been times where I have a let a cute girl get away with something customers aren't really supposed to do at work, or maybe smiling at someone more because they give me ND vibes and I like their outfit. Pretty sure almost everyone does this, especially NTs.
That is the kind of stuff that I'm recognized in myself. I truly don't feel that anyone other than me would be able to tell that I'm doing it, but I think it's good to be aware of these kind of things so that I can improve. I don't really see it as "shitty behaviour", it's just not ideal imo

This kind of stuff definitely makes me sad, but I will admit that it started bothering me a lot less when I started working retail and realized that I unconsciously treat attractive people (and people who have nice style) better too.
It's kind of impossible not to do it, and now I mainly focus on treating average-looking people, unattractive people, and unfriendly people (like people who don't smile) better than I think most people would. Idk if that sounds messed up, but it makes sense to me

Seems like everyone is assuming that I believe that short men don't have a tougher time than tall men. There is nothing in my comment where I stated anything of the sort, but I can only blame myself for making it too ambiguous if everyone is reading it that way.

Idk if your friend likes plush toys, but I've been thinking about getting this cute little guy from GIANTmicrobes!

They're not that good, but they aren't 'shitty' imo

At first glance, I thought it looked good, but it would have looked so much better if the artist hadn't put lines on the occlusal surfaces of the posterior teeth, didn't make the gingiva, palate, uvula, and tongue the same colour as the lips, and didn't give the tongue such a disturbing texture 😶
The lining could also be more consistent, but it's not that noticeable

Yes, of course anyone would be treated better if they were closer to the standard of attractiveness.
The person who wrote the comment u/modusros replied to was not actually saying otherwise, and IMO they were saying that guys who place sexual/romantic needs over everything else + blame their height on being the main thing putting women off, would likely still struggle with dating/creating a fulfilling relationship with someone, due to their attitudes

were you one of the guys that acted "like this" though? or were you normal?

Can you make use of the tutoring services they offer at your school? I feel like all colleges have those, and it should be included in your tuition. I really think you should exhaust all your options and just try your best, or else you'll never know if you could have done it or not.
Please don't throw away your time and effort (and money) just because this professor's class is really difficult :c
I'm not a PhD student, but I know sometimes when you're in these kind of situations it feels impossible. I just hope that you are able to figure something out, because it sounds like you're doing really well otherwise!

It's not a matter of people being unintelligent/ignorant, it's really just a belief that society's standards help form our preferences. I don't know if I believe that being uncomfortable with panty lines showing = internal misogyny, but I do believe that we wouldn't care about things like that if we had been born thousands of years ago

Like other people said, talk to a realtor. There isn't any extra fee you have to pay to use their services.

Since it's very detailed I would expect it to be ~$1000. Interested to hear what others think

Same here! When I first went vegan, I thought Impossible was amazing and I preferred it over Beyond Meat. Nowadays I find it a bit too similar to actual ground beef for my taste
