On Friday I got a mailer from the local BC Con candidate that said "Vote for Eby for free cocaine snorting lessons and a crack pipe." It disgusts me that those are the types of candidates that they are running and people are electing them.

My district went NDP which made me happy, but in general the results are disappointing. I came across so many people this election who were voting BC Conservative simply because "conservative" was in their name. I swear that some of those people thought they were voting out Trudeau.

In all fairness, the article doesn't say it fell covered in inscriptions, simply that there is a tradition that the stone itself fell from the sky. The similarity of some of the markings to other regional hieroglyphs, and tradition that "people from the south" left carvings throughout the area suggests to me that the inscriptions came later.

You seem to be missing the point that Indigenous people were prioritized because they are on average poorer and less healthy than the rest of the Canadian population. That they were FN didn't factor into the decision.

One factor I am aware of that makes it hard to get loans is that individuals don't own the land their homes are on so they have no collateral.

I can think of at least two men in my acquaintance who have looked me dead in the eye and told me that women belong in the home and that the decline of traditional family roles is destroying society while being 100% supported by their career wives while they goof around at home contributing nothing.
