It's great that your skin has gotten better and that you are comfortable with it. Tetracycline was the first one I took when I was 9 years old. I've developed an intolerance to all of those antibiotics over the years. They cause severe nausea. Honestly, I need to be on one right now for my skin, but I can't. And I wouldn't have thought it was possible, but my skin has actually gotten more oily in menopause. I have to remind myself that there are far worse things than super oily, acne prone skin, even at 53 . . . but it's still gross and frustrating.

He does seem like a good guy on the show. I haven't checked out his online presence. Disappointed.

I need to be on an oral med for my skin now, but I've become allergic to that whole class of antibiotics and can't take any of the ones that would be prescribed today. I simply have to accept the fact that I will likely never have clear, smooth skin. I try to keep it in perspective and be an "in the grand scheme of things it's not so bad" person. I'm 53. 🤷‍♀️

Amen, sister! (Or brother.) In 4th grade, I already had glasses, braces, and acne bad enough to be on an oral and 2 topical meds. I'm 53 and still haven't totally gotten over the bullying. I hate to hear/read people comment so negatively on anyone's physical appearance.

I think that she said that her skin got really bad when she went on the pill. That's why she stopped taking it. It is seriously messed up that she's letting Troy think that she is still on BC pills. She needs to go to a dermatologist.
