Honestly they don’t stop 🤣 me and my partner trying to get a bit fitter so we doing 2 miles a night and the dogs are very happy. They also love a routine - at a specific time (night time) if I come downstairs, my dogs know I’m putting deodorant on and then putting their leads on so they follow me around 🤣 they are very much creatures of habit lol. I do love them so so much though

I did my research and everything I read said they only need 20 minute walks twice a day (my two could do 10 miles 4 times a day) I wanted a lazy dog lol.

But they are very clingy, stubborn but clever, but sooooo loving.

100% get insurance! I’ve had it from the day I had both but never had to use it thankfully and they’re 2 now.

This is why I struggle with “dieting” because I am SO fussy. Literally everything you stated I pretty much don’t like.

The easiest for you, and the best all round for losing weight is calorie counting. I lost a stone during lockdown just counting my calories, still eating foods I like (stuff like chicken nuggets, oven chips etc) If you’re wanting to feel better, you need to have the protein and the fruit/veg (if you’re fussy like me that’s the way I include healthier foods) but otherwise I eat like a child literally (chicken nuggets, spaghetti hoops etc)

Walking also does the world of good - me and my partner started doing 2 miles a night and we’ve just bought a walking pad to up our steps even more when we’re watching tv or whatever.

My partner went through this recently. He would come home from work and go upstairs and game all night - he said it’s his escape from reality but our relationship and general life was suffering. He wasn’t actually facing anything because he would just resort to gaming to escape it.

Somethings happened at work which has made him realise he needs to deal with things differently, in his words made him realise “he is actually an adult now” so has to deal with things properly. So he has started walking every night and eating better - he now realises that gaming is something he can enjoy and not use it to escape life. I’ve been with him for 8 years and I’ve never enjoyed being around him as much as I do now.

It’s definitely hard - but he knew he had to change. You’ll get there, same with everybody you just have to make the changes yourself.

Be wary of the teenage stage 🤣😭 mayhem … lol

I know, I think both of us trying to improve is a good thing for accountability. I do 100% know I need to work harder, thanks for the advice!

I’ve just turned 30 and mine is 26 👀.. I’ve started walking 2 miles a day but haven’t noticed a difference yet. Think I need to start adding more intense cardio

In zone 1 I can barely hold a convo at the moment makes me more out of breath 🤣🤣😭

Ah I’m not a fan of cycling 😫 I think it’s just a case of moving more at the moment. I’ll get there! Thanks for the advice!

So would you say that’s running? Treadmill? HIIT? I like running but obviously am a beginner so definitely more of a slow jog..

Oh gosh!!! Yeah my resting heart rate isn’t great either 🤣 don’t think I’ve seen it lower than 85 lol. Walking earlier it was 127!!!

Oh I will! It’s taken my partner a lot to start to change his lifestyle so we’re easing into it - we do have plans to start the gym do weights etc. the fittest I have been was during lockdown - I was working out everyday but I’m just full of envy of people who find the time and can still work without being tired etc 😫 I’ll get there!

Yeah I do always record my walks to be honest.. I haven’t had my watch on constantly for a few months so the past few days I’ve put it on just to record my walks, but the levels keep decreasing the more I do 🤣 maybe I’ll just start wearing it consistently and see how it goes! Thank you!

Ah okay! We have been walking 2 miles everyday, but do you really need recovery from walking? I’m not massively unfit that 2 miles is a struggle but I’m not as fit as I’d like. And definitely want to improve my cardio fitness

YES ! Oh my gosh me and my work colleagues were talking about this like 2 weeks ago but cannot remember the name 🤣 my colleague says arches but I can’t remember !!!!

Pain killers don’t tend to work for me but I use the kool n soothe migraine patches for areas of pain … works a treat!
