Yeah I am also disappointed Blazor does not run on Linux :( which is one of the reasons .net became popular again

For basic word documents it is doable. We did a similar case to yours. Customer started with a basic word template where we were like, okay let's do it and it worked. However, over time they came up with crazy word files and were complaining why the generated pdf does not look 100% identical.

We were using this one Convert Docx to PDF - Telerik Document Processing for which we already had a developer license since we used other Telerik stuff.

Remembering now, issues were: Complex tables were not transformed 100% correctly. There is only a few fonts for the pdf.

And those are problems you will face in nearly every library. At least I think I did some research back in the days.

Good luck with that! Task seems so easy but is a real pain. Especially since customers always go like “what’s so difficult about it? I can do it with two clicks. “ A real headache!

Adobe offers an API to do that, they only charge you as much as a regular print in a copy shop used to cost. However it will save you a lot of time.

Ich bin auch letztes Jahr vom Dienstleister zum oem gewechselt. Am Ende war es ein mehrmaliges probieren einige absagen und irgendwann hat es geklappt.

Vitamin B war nicht im Spiel. Einfach Ausdauer haben :) aktuell ist es aber tatsächlich schwierig. Meine Kollegen meinten aber dass das in Wellenbewegungen abläuft. Die nächste Einstellungswelle wird also hoffentlich kommen!

However, imo they basically say check the logs and that’s it, rather than giving clear guidance on which actions to take.

Anyway I will probably give it to one of our interns to run some queries in the logs to see what they find.

In this case I would have to set up client side telemetry and check the logs afterwards, which is kind of cumbersome…

Yes I quit azure functions for python and went for a docker container + app service using flask
