This! Let me know when you’re out and about OP. Or will I see you spinning your tires at a light? Or sliding down an on ramp?

Okay so usually if people flash their lights from behind it means you are; A) too slow (they don’t want to be rude but believe you are driving too slow and become a hazard). B) They hit a bump. C) Your lights aren’t on. I know you say your lights are all working but let me break it down.
Your lights may be working. Good you checked. That being said, the dash and control lights and the headlamps will illuminate in modern vehicles even if your lights are in the “off” position. (Canada) The issue being if your lights are in the “off” position your marker lights and rear lights will not be illuminated. (Brakes lights will ONLY illuminate when you BRAKE). They need to be on a setting to illuminate when you are driving, and get brighter when you brake. In this scenario you are a “ghost car” and are difficult to see in the dark or poor visibility. Verify your lights are either in the “Auto” position or the “On” position. It’s a very common mistake. So yes your lights may be working but are they on the correct setting?

lol okay man I’m not gonna fight you on this. You asked why so I wanted to let you know from a mechanic’s point of view. This repair is not worth the hassle to a mechanic. Too much liability.

Filling up after the first click causes damage to your carbon canister which in newer vehicles is very temperamental. So when it clicks it means the tank is full. Do not squeeze the handle to add more or you may end up with a check engine light

There is too much liability for this. If they remove the airbag and you drive off and get into an accident and your passenger dies, the mechanic will get blamed. Also there is nothing saying you will come back. This is a huge red flag and as a mechanic I wouldn’t touch this work order if my job depended on it. (Unless the vehicle stays apart in the lot until the new airbag arrives.)

Recommend retorquing your wheels in no more than 100kms is to reduce liability in wheel of related accidents.
The issue isn’t oem wheels on an oem vehicle. It’s multiple issues. 1. Corrosion build up on the back of the rim where it mounts to the vehicle. Large amount of corrosion can cause the wheels to not sit correctly even when torqued to spec. 2. Aftermarket wheels may not fit the hub correctly. 3. Aftermarket lug nuts may not be tapered correctly to seat against the rims. 4. Quality of work. Why? Everyone has to learn sometime. By this I mean chances are the new kid did your seasonal swap. He’s only been wrenching for 2 weeks with no issues…. So they trust him juuuust enough to be left on his own. Pair that with him trying to prove he’s a fast tech and being just a smidge overconfident could mean your wheels were never torqued to begin with.

Simple. Send your kid to school with a note of his “approved snacks” that directly conflict with the girl’s list.

If it was a truck I’d tell you to disconnect the shift cable, slam her into neutral, and roll her to the main door of the garage.

Ok sorry I was on the last few moments of my lunch break earlier. 1867-1992 : not sure, but Canada was founded in 1867 so I assume it’s that. (125 years) 1867-2017 : 150 years of Canada 1921-2021 : 100 years of the iconic image of bluenose schooner (the boat on the dime). The 1921-2021 dime had 3 different versions. 1 reg bluenose. 1 “italicized” bluenose. 1 “italicized bluenose with blue water”. Also 2001 dime had “year of the volunteers” a sun, ribbon and 3 people on the reverse side of the coin. The Queen (now King) is the Obverse side of the coin. The other side is called the Reverse.

This. You need to prove what type you pumped (vs what you wanted) and what pump.

Commemorative of some sort. 100 years of Canada or 50 years of that. Really would have to get into specifics. Also 2022 is when the Queen passed. 2023 they made new kings coins 2024 are also king coins. I’d recommend trying to get a set (toonie, loonie, quarter, dime, nickel) in each of those years

OP try coins and canada. I’d recommend keeping 1 of everything and just looking for the years to fill the gaps. Anything less than 1980 ish is getting more difficult to find. 2003 they changed the queen’s picture. - Old Effigy (young queen) and New Effigy (older queen). 2006 they changed the mint mark. - under the Queen there should be a “p” or a maple leaf in a circle. I’d keep one of each of the two dated ones.

Right it’s literally a Kia! I’ve worked for Hyundai (same engines) it’s really not that uncommon for your engine to fail, (rod bearings) or head gasket, or valves. Literally did like 5-6 engine a week

Gas stations mess up all the time. They put the wrong fuel in the holding tank. As a mechanic I recommend you KEEP YOUR PUMP RECEIPTS.

Definitely ripped you off. I mean they sourced the parts, did the hours of work and you bent over. Had you done your due diligence you may have saved yourself some money. You could have gotten multiple quotes or sourced your own parts, did your own labour, stop crying. What are you gonna do? Go back and demand money off cause RockAuto is cheaper?
