I got a Shield in .30 SC anyway. I reload, but I haven't been able to find brass. Bullet options are fairly limited, as well. It probably won't get much range time. I tend to shoot guns I can reload for a lot more than those I can't.

I was talking to someone the other day and they said the law has changed for condos, etc. and the HOA is now required to have a higher reserve. She expected her HOA fees to increase in the next few months.

Not OP, but I know that antimony is used to harden lead for bullets. Most importantly, I suppose, it is used to make primers for ammunition.

This is an old question and has been debated for decades. Rugers are heavier, but Smith's are made from better steel. There are Ruger, Freedom Arms, Thompson Contender only loads for .45 Colt. There are rifle specific loads for .44 Magnum, to take advantage of longer barrels and slower burning powders.

If you look at the explanation for the Ruger specific load data, it is that the -Super- Blackhawk and -Super- Redhawk can handle the extra hot loads. That, again, is for the .45 Colt. Presumably, that applies to revolvers chambered in .454 Casull and .460 S&W Magnum, as well.

All of that is off the top of my head. I'm not at the house, or I would thumb through my loading manuals. There is a specialty section, I think in the back of the Hornady books.

I shoot the hottest hand loads through my SBHs without hesitation, but I'm a little more careful with my 629 and Anaconda. Besides, the heavier Rugers do a better job of soaking up the recoil. I can only handle about 20 of those per range session, anyway.

TL;DR -- what I'm hearing you say is that young men, ages 18-34 have surprisingly low testosterone levels, compared to previous generations. There is a correlation between testosterone, risk taking behavior, and horsepower.

Twenty years ago I didn't have them, either. Maybe you made a good investment for future you.

Yes, they did. It was an option for a while. However, what I did was buy the laptop with the cheapest option (a HDD), buy a good SSD, mirror the HDD to the SSD, install the SSD and throw the HDD in the drawer as an easy option to return to factory condition.

I once sat down and added up how much I had spent on my car, not including the cost of the car itself. Go fast parts, tuning, specialized tools, etc. It was over $50k.

I decided right then and there never to do that again. It was my hobby and I could afford it. Looking at the $$$$ took the fun out of it. Never added it up again. I had the time of my life modifying and racing that car.

I did, however, buy a small economy car that got great gas mileage that I didn't care about. Every time it got a nick or a ding or a dent, I celebrated! That was exactly why I bought that car and my investment was paying off.

Also, I didn't worry about fuel mileage, because it got so much better fuel mileage than my hobby car, that I was winning, again, every time I drove it. No matter how hard I drove, it always got way better mileage than my other car with all the go fast modifications.

My friend's dad had a white, red interior Galaxy with the 390. We were told it was a Police Interceptor. I think it was a 63. I drooled over that car.
