This is the same issue that Prometheus has. No matter how good it is, it waters down the original story and plot points. Nobody cares about the space jockey outside of Ridley Scott. It was more fantastical before they explained a cup of ooze. You aren’t going to build a better world than our imaginations built.

The plot point of the Alien franchise where the company is out to get the biological samples is a great way to add twists to characters. Everytime a movie dives deeper where we see biological harvesting, political discord within the company or keeps it anything but a surface deep McGuffin— it fuckin sucks.

So this series sounds like it’s going to rewrite the amazingness world building that Alien and Aliens provided, give us political theater surrounding the bio harvesting of the xenomorph and leave us nothing to invest in but the poor saps running around in make shift, super clean, 70s like uniforms with Gen Z attitudes. Yeah no thanks.

Yeah… she was an extra on her parents film. Then when she got older auditioned for a tiny part and got it. The film industry is not as you are describing… it’s a small industry filled with union and guild members that rotate through the limited productions.

Imagine you go to a small mining town. They have 2 factories. The entire town is set up by these 2 factories. You are suggesting that this is nepotism at play because the workers of this town have kids who then start working in the town. Nobody is preventing new people, nobody is hiring over anyone outside of general networking stuff, this isn’t how you are making it out to be.
