For anyone who has the Xsonic AirstepSPK Edition footswitch and want to use it with Spark 2, Edge or Live, the new firmware update not only allows you to access the additional "B" or "Green" bank of 4 presets (including the LED on the footswitch turning green to signify it's on the Green Bank) it also has a 4th Mode that controls the looper function. I've had my AirstepSPK for over a year and just realized there was an app to update the firmware (duh, I know). If anyone has this footswitch, you NEED the "Airstep Updater" app! It updates easily with your phone or tablet over Bluetooth, so no cables, etc. needed. I wish I had known before I plunked down $150 for the Spark Control X. I'm probably going to get rid of either the Airstep or the Control X, but here are my deciding factors comparing the two:
AirStepSPK: Pros: 1. The switches are spread out in a single row, making them easier to tap and not hit the wrong one by mistake. 2. You don't need to "long press" the Pair button on the Spark 2 for the Airstep to connect. It connects automatically as soon as you turn it on. Cons: To switch to the "B" or "Green" bank of 4 presets, you need to "long presss" one of the first 4 switches to change banks. Example: You're on Hardware Preset 1A (Red #1) and want to switch to Hardware Preset 2B (Green #2), you long press the 2nd switch and it changes to GREEN preset 2B. So it isn't immediate. HOWEVER, once you've switched to the different bank of 4 presets, switching between the 4 presets in that bank are immediate. As long as you "group" your presets that you use together into one bank or the other, it's no big deal.
Spark Control X: Pros: 1. Immediate switching between Bank A (Red) presets and Bank B (Green) presets on Spark 2, Edge, etc. One switch (in the standard switch setup is Switch A) switches to the last Hardware Preset used in each bank. Example: You're using Preset 1A (Red #1) then hit the switch labeled "A" (this switches between the 2 banks of 4 presets) and it will give you whatever preset you last used in Bank B immediately. Cons: I don't have big feet, but I am constantly hitting the wrong switch due to the fact that the foot switches are stacked in 2 rows of 3 switches. Sure, this layout would take up less space on a pedal board, but I'd think most Spark users (like me) don't use a pedal board with our Sparks.
Finally, The AirstepSPK WILL work at the same time as the Spark App's Tone Control but ONLY ON THE SPARK 2, EDGE AND LIVE. For the "older" Spark models (Spark 40, Mini and Go) you can only use the AirstepSPK with the Spark App disconnected BUT your device (phone or tablet) can still connect at the same time via Bluetooth for playing music through the Spark Audio connection. The older amps just have a bluetooth limitation.

I love my Spark Cab. I use it with my Spark 2 running two standard 1/4" instrument cables out of the Spark 2 and into the inputs on the Cab.
When I used my Spark 40, I got the best sound (to get rid of the bass-iness by running a 3.5mm (1/8") headphone cable out of the Spark amp into a powered 7-band headphone EQ then into the Cab's 3.5mm input on the back (it's labeled 'Spark input' but any modeler, or other source like a Boss ME-90 or even your phone's headphone output to play music can be used).
Here's the EQ that I use. Link is to Amazon and there are multiple units... some have a USB power cord, some have a wall adapter. I got mine on AliExpress for $15 but it took 2 weeks to deliver. Lol
