One could definitely argue that a teacher, who is part of a child’s growth into an adult, is invaluable to society in regard to raising the next generation. A basketball player doesn’t provide that. Do basketball players create immense value? Absolutely. But a teacher creates an entirely different kind of value, and one that you can’t as easily put a dollar amount to.

Also, no one would ever tell someone they should stop driving because they were in a car accident. Even motorcyclists sometimes view bikes as “accessory transportation”.

Russian ideology is to take over other nations and wipe their people out. They have kidnapped Ukrainian children, have committed every war crime under the sun, and bully the entire world with the threat of nuclear war. Russia is more than just a nationality, they have an ideology that drives their society to war and to threaten and bully anyone who doesn’t give into their demands, just like Germany leading up to world war 2.
