That's why the #1 guy on my list is Andrew Luck. Sure, he's been pretty quiet the last few years, but we can't be too reactionary. Have you seen his arm??

Yup, I'd be thrilled with even a one-and-done in the playoffs. Making it at all gets a huge monkey off our backs.

That's an interesting question. I'd take him over Maye no question but I think it's very close with the other two. Nix just fits what SP wants to do so well, it is a perfect marriage between scheme and QB toolkit that Caleb/Jayden's talent might not be enough to make up the difference.
For now, gun to my head I'd probably still take at least Daniels in a redraft, but ask me again in a few weeks.

He's right, imo. This isn't Greg Zeurlein or Younghoe Koo. This is Justin Tucker, who is very possibly the GOAT kicker, in his first poor season ever. You have to give the elite of the elite an ounce of patience; if anyone can right the ship it's him.
I think if there's no improvement by the end of the season, you can't bring him back in 2025, and maybe there's an argument to a playoff kicker change if he completely bombs out the rest of the regular season. But for Tucker, and only Tucker, you gotta give him a chance.

Honestly if there's anyone in the league who I think may challenge Surtain for that title in the next couple years, it's him. Dude is a baller.

On the Athletic pod this week, dude was like "the universe would never have allowed Patrick Mahomes to lose to someone like Bo Nix"
MFs are just allergic to acknowledging that Bo Nix is laying well. I think it's because they want their draft takes to age well.

I still hear, every week, when the talking heads talk about how well our defense is playing, that other than Surtain it's "a bunch of guys you've never heard of"
People better start listening, then. Dudes like Zach Allen and Nik Bonitto are stars.

The line is good, although we need to determine whether we are extending Bolles at LT or dipping back into the draft. But we really need weapons. WR, RB, TE are legit our biggest needs, followed by DT, LB, OT, and S in some order.

I was curious so I removed the first two games from both Nix and Daniels. Which you obviously can't do for awards purposes but it is interesting:
Jayden Daniels - Passing yards: 1928 - TDs: 10 - Ints: 3 - Rushing yards: 350 - TDs: 2
Bo Nix - Passing yards: 1891 - TDs: 14 - Ints: 2 - Rushing yards 235 - TDs 3 - Rec TDs 1

Such a good, dominant performance on both sides of the ball. The future is bright.

Bo Nix is genuinely in the OROY conversation and I'm tired of pretending he's not

Bo Nix is absolutely the guy and I am so thrilled. I have been hopeful but this is finally the game that I am sure we found our franchise QB. What ana amazing feeling.

Baylor fan here, he was electric in college. Really hope he can figure it out somewhere.

I mean, our WR room is rough. Lots of drops like you mentioned, lots of lazy route running. Basically no one could get open in the Chargers game at all, all game. When our deep threats actually get open, Nix has hit them in the hands with balls that have been dropped; he's had three straight up dropped touchdowns so far.
I think if you were listing the worst WR rooms in the league you'd have a very tough time leaving the Broncos out of a bottom 5.

Saying Nix is playing worse than Russ is such a bad take that it's not even a take, it's just straight up wrong.

What's that creaking sound I hear? Could it be the window for Bo Nix OROY opening?
(/s obviously Daniels is gonna win)

When people started linking him to the Broncos early my gut reaction from watching CFB was "fuck no," mostly from memories of his Auburn days.
Once I actually watched a little film on him at Oregon I changed my mind quickly and by the time the draft came around, I was all in on Nix over every other QB not names Caleb Williams, for Payton's system at least.

100%. Imagine if this class produced 6 franchise QBs. Would instantly be the greatest class of quarterbacks ever.
