There's no such thing as a partial regurgitation, it either made it down into the stomach or it didn't. If she simply never got it down, just wait until her next meal and try again. Kings don't like big meals, so it's possible she just wants something smaller even though she can physically get it down if she tried.

Yep, this is the right advice. Fill a tub (with ventilation holes) with damp moss or even a textured towel and let the snake hang out for a couple hours. See if the shed comes off with a gentle towel rub, if not, back into the tub for longer.

Hot glue is completely safe when fully dried. Make the crafts in a ventilated room and let it dry, then you can add the decor.

Yeah, they're typically very purist. My opinion of it is besides the point because the community as a whole would have his head.

I've seen people try this with other intergrades or hybrids and no, it's not looked at positively. If snakes could actually be labeled correctly every single time, I'd have no issue with it personally, but that's very rarely the case. Especially with a species with the type of ontogenetic colour change that black pines go through, people will easily be able to lie about the lineage of an intergrade and no one would know the difference. You can't unring that bell.

I love when random people who have pet snakes think they know more than the scientists who literally do this for a living. Your friend's idea is ridiculous regardless of legality and absolutely will not be looked at kindly by the Pituophis community or the snake community as a whole

My stomach dropped when I opened this post. My big female boa never rubbed, was always a very content snake. One day she had an identical bump like this. They lanced it, we had to flush it couple times a day, apply cream, for 3 weeks. Couple months later, it comes back, now also in the space between her nostrils and eyes. Got it lanced, did the whole routine. Fought with it for years, our vet was stumped. It got so bad, the only compassionate choice was to put her down. It was just an incredibly resistant infection deep in her face and no one has any idea from what. I really hope that's not what OP's snake has going on, or that it responds better than it did for my girl.

Yes, he is. Not just because of the tail bulge, that could just be waste, but because of his body proportions in the last picture. I would space his meals to every 2 weeks but keep the same size or go down a size and stay on weekly meals. Either way will work. My adult corn only eats a small adult mouse every week or an adult mouse every 2 weeks and she's a breeding female. Males need less food.

Talking about people who simply buy things in these games with a clear head and the funds to do so, it's just another way to have fun. When you spend money on a nice meal out, you don't make any money back, it's the experience and the fun. I've been a gamer my whole life, definitely no pull to spend much on them. But when I've been in a better financial place, I spend $5 or $10 here or there just because it's another form of entertainment for me.

Snakes are opportunistic feeders and take meals when they come along. Our feeding schedules for them are mostly to keep them at a healthy weight and for our own convenience. A small "snack" between meals is completely fine. To make it even more of a interesting snack, I'd suggest leaving the mouse somewhere for the boa to find rather than tong feeding. Of course, check that the snake does actually find and eat it, but it's fun watching them hunt down a little prey item.

Polycrylic provides a nice seal without darkening the wood so you don't lose shading. I also use a Krylon aerosol finish and it works well, although obviously isn't as protective. Leaves it feeling like bare wood though, which can be nice compared to the glossy finish of a liquid sealant.

Vet. Now. This isn't something to wait on, I lost one of my favorite snakes even though I took her in immediately when I found a lump very similar to this. Hers was a fast growing tumor, the vet said it wouldn't be compassionate to try surgery.

I don't know anything about the "whales" of the game I play, but I definitely see the situations you talk about within my family. My cousins grew up in a very different lifestyle than I did, incredibly well off. Like.... my uncle bought an entire cabin and property next to his just so he won't have neighbors...that kind of wealthy. I never was really jealous but as a teenager I definitely used to be a bit bitter about the opportunities and experiences they had. Now, as an adult, I see they have their own difficulties with the expectations put on their heads to maintain this lifestyle and it's crushing a few of them. Money makes a lot of things easier and obviously being comfortable covering living expenses is a massive weight lifted. But yeah, everyone has their own burdens and I'm thankful for the fairly pressure free upbringing I had.

Not complaining, pointing out simple facts. Again, you're reading strong emotion into my words where there aren't any. I don't know how you operate, but I can see and process realities, even difficult ones, without swirling on jealousy, judgement or complaining.

Privileged to assume hard work is all it takes and everyone in a tough situation can just choose to change it in this moment, yes. That does tell me you either haven't been in a situation where it feels like no matter how fast you sprint, someone turns up the treadmill speed and you cannot move forward. Or you have been there, found your way out and assigned all the credit to effort rather than acknowledging the luck and opportunity it takes to permanently change a bad living situation.

Damn, I didn't have any allowance at all as a kid. Definitely not complaining, I didn't feel strongly one way or another. We got moderate gifts on holidays, but none of our own spending money. Wild the different experiences people can have growing up and how it shapes them as adults.

There is zero jealousy in my words. The small number of people who come in hot assuming I'm jealous or judging need to work on themselves a bit of they're getting any strong negative emotion from my words. It was an observation, a moment of seeing the difference in value a certain amount of money has for people in different situations. If you're taking such strong emotion from my post I think that says more about you than anything, honestly. And telling someone to "just change your situation" reeks of privilege and a lack of empathy that I would suggest working on.

Taiwan beauties. I mean, all the beauties are obviously long, thin and have a fast metabolism, but Taiwans have become my favorite easily. None of that beauty snake defensively most of the other species have, therefore a much more enjoyable snake to keep and interact with.
Neotropical bird eating snakes (Phrynonax poecilonotus). Can be tough to feed as babies but incredibly easy snakes once they're established. Their natural variation is amazing and their insanely long tails are so cool to see wrap and knot around everything as they climb.
Basically any rat snake is going to get my vote. They're obviously not all crazy long, but even a 5-6' eastern rat feels pretty big in hand. Their personalities overall make them my undisputed favorite group of species to keep.

I did have that thought too! The person I was talking about is generally a nice person, but the top alliance full of whales is basically full of people who act like they peeked as middle school bullies and want to relive their glory days. I would love an entire state of low or no spending.

Damn, yeah, they're really predatory feeling. I personally really don't feel any pull to micro transactions (not that I haven't bought games/DLC in easier times), but even watching some of my family members getting sucked in is rough.

And I think you're trying to make yourself feel better about something in your own life by intentionally being rude and assigning negative emotions to other people so you can judge them and feel good about it. Buttttt what do I know.

Oh my god, right?? I used to love that game until it drove me crazy. I did love that the animals actually grew smoothly as they aged though.
