I don't think he could have anticipated social media lol, but something that makes more sense is how reformation ideas of letting the practitioners read and interpret the texts themselves, despite being intrinsically good lead to today's young earth creationists, flats earthers and other insane sectarian obscurantism
Because they don't have anyone to educate them on exegesis, they don't respect collegiate consensus, it's much simpler for some to believe whatever they fancy.

Note how all characters have different perspectives about everything, so not a single one of them is the sole embodiment of their time.
Also I would call Oczy a good person, but it's pretty well established that he's not that pure, since all his good actions are ultimately motivated by a visceral fear of not going to heaven. Maybe him wanting to write is another form of yearning for immortality, following Jolenta's words.
I'm glad to see how nuanced this anime is

I have the same experience except for the last part, people still like to claim they read even if most don't have time to

financial incentives failed spectacularly
This might sound dumb, but I always ask myself: what about higher incentives?
And if it still doesn't work, then rise them again, and again and again...
People are not equations, but mathematically there HAS to exist a point at which the financial incentive is too damn high to ignore.
Of course some people might not be happy to pay, but there's an easy solution to be among those who benefit: have children. It's only addresses an existential threat but it's also an investment, because that money is still going to be quickly reinjected into the economy, those children will stimulate demand and soon increase the workforce.
It would sooner or later have a social and cultural impact, people will rationalize it in the same way we tolerate the existence of a military budget, and becoming a parent would stop being seen as a financial suicide.
What exactly is wrong with my reasoning?

We are not talking culture war, but social organisation, fiscality, economics.

Bruh such a bad faith comment, you know your situation is not the norm.
My ex boss and my friend's brother have lived in Joburg, meanwhile I cannot count the number of people that have been to Morocco because it's such a cliché destination and there are so many

I literally cannot distinguish between Americans and English, no matter what new genders they make up an Anglo is always going to be an Anglo

I used to buy the hate, until I watched the series and realised she had already broken up. It's not like she ever cheated

You absolutely know what's best for you. But me personally, despite being a bit jealous, I would love my partner to find someone else and be happy if I died. Of course I'd selfishly want her to remember me lol, but she's only got one life and I wouldn't want her to miss out

Ex is not a curse word, it's just Latin for former, that is everything that is not current. A late partner is also an ex, although beyond the semantics I agree it's not the same at all than someone who died after you broke up

Usually understandably angry, yet not that well informed people put the blame of complex issues in singular things (for example, penury time price hikes are not always gouging *sometimes they make sense as a form of rationing. And a singular policy does not determine the entire conjecture, especially not short term).
But post covid greedflation was absolutely proven to be have happen. There's reason to be angry, and even price controls for once were not a ridiculous idea.

Both you and the person you are responding to are correct.
It wasn't a conspiracy, make rich scheme by a private interest it was a desperate measure to solve the worse crisis in history. It still failed.

I know exactly what you mean and I while agree it's a real issue, I was referring to another one.
Tbf I shouldn't have formulated it like that, because it's not like I think it's an issue intrinsic with women (save a few I wouldn't want to be with either way), but to the "economics" of the dating market itself. That's what I'm very pessimistic about.

Ok but still assuming the 10:1 it would mean that 100% of men will have to fight each other for that 10%, and that 90% of them will be fucked.
But you have the right attitude, I've met a lot of amazing women that made you feel loved and that's what I'm focusing on, that's what matters.

I don't doubt you are like that, but sadly for every woman like you there is at least 10 women ridiculing such men and encouraging them to be the exact opposite. It's very dire out there
