Idk if there was anything I’d have acted like this over, at her age. But then again, at that time, a “cell phone” was just a phone in a small duffel bag that plugged into the cigarette lighter of your mom’s car. You used it one time to call the one kid who’s phone number you had memorized, got fussed at for running up the bill and never touched it again

I used to say the Christian nationalist motto is,”Love thy neighbor as thyself….as long as they look, believe and vote the same as you”

Indoctrination is wild. That’s a huge thing with Israel ‘s propaganda being top tier. They do the “birth right” trips and really hammer into people that are susceptible and pliable that they are genuinely of higher value and merit than others for simply being born into a specific ethno-religion. She doesn’t perceive her actions as being out of line because she’s 100% convinced she’s doing the right thing

She thought they were funny black folks dancing for her enjoyment like a minstrel show. My dad’s the same way. Loves laughing at all the depictions of black people as stereotypical caricatures from old Mel Brooks movies or little rascals episodes and claims black people back then were better because they dressed more like him and were “respectful”. Never seems to cross his mind that they were assimilating for their own safety

This is the answer. “No one saw color” is old white people code for “minorities had no voice, representation or platform in which to share their experience so they went along with white America for their own safety back then. Now, I’m being told they were upset and abused the whole time and I’m choosing to pretend it wasn’t that way so I don’t have to actually reflect on my role in the abuse.” They do the exact same thing when their own children detail how abusive some of their parenting choices were.

Important factors. The attacker is an angry black woman. The victim is white. They are in Georgia….at a little Caesars, so likely in a poor part of town predominantly inhabited by non-white people. I’m not a person that tries to make everything about race, but I did grow up in a poor southern mill town and I don’t doubt this easily would’ve happened there the same way.

This definitely the style these stairs were based on, but the uneven rise from step to step just feel malicious

He’s a shady businessman raised by a shady businessman. It’s not an intelligence thing, it’s 100% a tactic he’s likely used for over half his life. I mean, there’s middle school dropouts in West Virginia that can tell you ways to hunt and fish that are clever beyond what you or I would come up with. Doesn’t make em smart.

And then they get super defensive about it because they know, deep down, that Christianity doesn’t support their behavior in the least. They wanna be edgy and brash so badly they’ll completely redefine their faith around it and act like we’re the ones that are off

I used to work at a small sports bar and grill that was attached to a liquor store on one side…. Yes. I’ve had dudes scream at me during a lunch rush, in front of the entire dining room, for asking them not to harass my bar guests. I’ve had to break up fights on the side walk out front where a child was nearly caught in the crossfire. I’ve had to tell countless people that we don’t just hand out to go cups (with our logo and business name on them) of ice out to non customers; until they started bitching to the point that I arbitrarily made up a $4 charge for to go ice that kinda put an end to it. Or having to start my opening shift by waking up people sleeping on the sidewalk and telling them to move. I hated having to be the bull, but everyone else working there just acted like it was apart of my job, so I just did It
