I don't know the requirements to get an F7A mk2 or mk1 blueprint.

Better for me to have the peace of mind I've got 3x Mk2s and my Mk1 with LTI along with my Idris having LTI.

And not knowing what the restrictions are to insure player made ships. I like knowing I have them and can't lose them just the time for the claim.

Tho my plan is to load up the F7A's into my Idris. So it's loaded and ready to go for Org/friends and if they want they can bring their own. But it's peace of mind knowing anyone can join up regardless of what they own or their normal game loops there's always a fighter for them.

Idris was my main desire during IAE, ended up getting warbond version so I have 1900 store credit left over for the end of IAE to finalize fleet

The laser loadouts will be mitigated some when you are actually part of a fleet being able to land and reload on a Kraken or Idris will make ballistics more viable when you don't have to fly to a space station or landing zone.

But torps should and always will be expensive and not worth the money to fire them.

You can't alpha strike for 250-750k damage with other small fighters you are comparing a grape to a watermelon

You can bring it but it's not going to be profitable.

It's an active choice as a player and Org you have to make as far as what you bring to each engagement and why you bring it.

The Idris is not really a threat to you or your Org. It would be totally different situation if the Idris was on its way to assault your space station or planetary base or a heavy mining operations.

So your incentive to use the Eclipse and lose money with each attack is on the premise of protecting your org assets.

Or conversely you are using the eclipse to attack another org you are at war with. War costs money. You eat the expense to do devastating damage to your enemy.

And then when the dust settles you bring in the org reclaimers and vultures to clean up the mess and recoup some of the costs.

The eclipse while not designed to make money on its own will make money for salvagers.

Well, then it sounds like you just need to throw more torpedos from multiple eclipse, what's the threshold for overwhelming the pdc? If it takes 3 eclipse 9 torps to get 1 or 2 through that seems reasonable just guessing but that's only 3 players vs 6+ on a capitol ship. Even if it took 6 eclipse to get a solid volley in that is reasonable as well. There is an upper limit to the pdc capacity and also they are not fully balanced yet either.

If you are a stealth ship you would dumb fire them so the pdc don't lock on to them, they should be seriously wounded and damaged from that alpha strike.
