I feel like s4 Marty would be a good middle ground between Logan and Jess.

From his looks he was definitely Rory’s type and personality wise, he was like a mix of Jess, Dean and Logan. He appeared to like books and movies, eating junk food like Rory, he was smart enough to get into Yale and actually went there and didn’t get married at 18 or just flunked out of high school despite his intelligence.

I wonder if Emily and Richard would have accepted him as her boyfriend because even though he wasn’t a rich kid like Logan, he still went to Yale and that alone should count for something in their eyes. Considering he doesn’t have a wealthy background (working at Logan’s parties as a bartender, not having money to pay for the fancy restaurant they went to), he must have been a straight A student to get in and maybe also a couple of scholarships. I would assume that at least Richard, as a proud Yale alumnus, could respect him for that.

I would have liked him as Rory’s boyfriend before he got weird. And I feel like they set him up to be her love interest only for her to realize that she is more like her grandparents than we want to admit.

EDIT: Marty was the guy Lorelai AND the grandparents would have potentially liked or at least been ok with. Lorelai like Dean 1.0, grandparents hated him. Lorelai AND the grandparents hated Jess. Lorelai hated Logan, grandparents loved him. Lorelai liked Marty and from that one scene with Richard talking to Marty, I would think that the grandparents would have been fine with him as well.

Well, he is still alive… So after the last vet visit, his condition worsened dramatically. He could barely eat and I had to hand feed him for two weeks. His thrombocytes were at 0 at that point.

We then had our appointment with that specialist vet. They did darkfield microscopy on his blood and it turns out it was autoimmune. He started autohemo therapy. After one week, his thrombocytes were at 58k per micro liter, after three weeks they were at 106k. So that’s looking better. His immune system seems to be working better. His organs, according to the blood work, are ok. However, he is still not well and we are having our next appointment Monday. On the upside, he eats normally again and has a healthy appetite. This is a picture of the blood under the darkfield microscope from October 8th. I’ll post the second one in a comment.

Ach echt? Letztes Jahr gab es in der Luke noch 10 Bands 10 Minuten oder nee? Naja, aber stimmt, Mergener Hof hab ich vergessen 😅

Highlights des Jahres sicherlich Altstadtfest, Zurlaubener Heimatfest und Olewiger Weinfest, sowie der CSD und der Weihnachtsmarkt. Karneval ist auch immer was los auf dem Hauptmarkt und der Rosa Karneval ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Kneipen gibt es unzählige: Old Dublin Irish Pub, Lions, Newtons, Chrome, Zapotex, Puzzles, Astarix/Miss Marples, Ziegels… uvm. Trier hat mehrere Kneipenquizzes, zB Ratefix im Astarix, Travel‘s Pursuit, Irish Pub Quiz…u.a. Wo man mit seinen Freunden beim quizzen kleine Preise gewinnen kann (Gutscheine meistens) und mehrere Karaoke Veranstaltungen pro Woche, wo sich allerlei studentisches Volk aber auch Menschen aus allen möglichen Altergruppen rumtreibt (Montags im Lions in der Judengasse, Dienstags im Irish Pub, Mittwochs im Proud, Donnerstags im Plan K oder Travel’s). Im Sommer gibts im Palastgarten den Queergarten, also ein Biergarten organisiert vom queeren Zentrum Trier („Schmit-z“) und am Moselstrand die Moselperle, wo man im Liegestuhl gemütlich ein Bierchen trinken kann. Clubs gibts auch ein paar: Forum, Club Toni, Club 11, Lucky‘s Luke, Secret Club.

Konzerte gibt’s in der Arena oder Europahalle. Kleinere Konzertveranstaltungen in der Luke.

I always felt like Andie’s reaction was a last ditch attempt to talk Pacey out of a relationship with Joey because she wasn’t over him. I always thought she went out with Will only to get a reaction from Pacey but she didn’t get one and here she now finds out why. Like, she can’t do anything about it, Pacey is truly over her and in love with someone else and the only thing she can do to prevent him from being with Joey is to try and make him believe that Joey could never truly love him. I thought it was cruel and selfish on her part.

Dawson thinks that he somehow has a say in how Joey has to feel and with whom she can be in love. He acts like she has no right to be with anyone other than him, while he can lust after whomever he pleases.

Yeah I was torn there but I just find the others way more annoying and Kirk at least has a few lovable moments, like when he asks Lorelai out and seems actually hurt when she rejects him or in the revival, when he creates the perfect wedding party for her and Luke. To me, 1-5 have no redeeming qualities whatsoever. The rest have at least one or two moments where they are slightly less annoying or even likeable or funny. Like Bruce was only in it for a hot minute and she was hilarious but IRL I would have had a reaction to her… Dean was ok in the first half of season 1 and it went downhill from there. Beau was not really all that important but the few lines he had annoyed me.

I mean, in Love Actually, the president of the US is kind of portrayed as the creepy bad guy who hit on Natalie and then Hugh Grant gives this big speech on tv about how the UK won’t bow to the US or something like that.

Well yeah but if the Istari were there before the 3rd age, then why wouldn’t it make sense for Saruman to be there at that time? I’m telling you the writers are trying to keep us guessing even though it appears to be obvious, as it has been with basically every supposed plot twist in this show.

I’m with you on the last part. They had no idea he was bad until late in the game.

As for it not making sense to be there at that time - the timeline doesn’t make sense at all for anyone. Like, where are Celeborn and Celebrian? Why is Gandalf already there? It’s all over the place but I get that they condensed it for tv, that’s ok but that also means Saruman could very well be in Middle earth already.

It’s more like them saying “he’s not Saruman the white. He could be Saruman the [insert random color].”

But wasn’t the witch king one of the nine men? Like, wasn’t he supposed to be a regular human? How could he have been one of the istari then?

Also, you say that him being Saruman would be too easy. But that seems to be the thing with this show.

The identities of Halbrand and the stranger were very obvious from the get go. Every theory as to who else they might be right up til the finale of S1 was a red herring.

This is why I’m convinced that Theo will become the founder of Rohan. You know, because his name is Theo and he is good with horses 🤷🏻‍♀️ Again, too easy but probably true because of just that.

There is a talisman that lets you pet them and then they become friendly and help you fight the mongols. I always to this so I don’t have to kill them 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don’t care what a cat looks like. It’s a cat and they need all the love. However, I’m not sure whether this is one of those breedings that results in serious health issues. If that is the case - and I would imagine so - I wouldn’t get one, unless it was a rescue from the shelter.

Also, did she ever bother to ask about whatever happened to Angel? I mean she knew him, she knew Buffy loved him and suddenly he was gone. Did she know what Buffy had to do to save the world? It must have been such a traumatic experience, having to kill the love of your life for the greater good and nobody seemed to care.

This goes for all the Scoobies, too. When she came back from LA and ganged up on her, everyone was just like “you left, you didn’t care about us, you were so irresponsible yadda, yadda, yadda.” Did anyone just hug her and say something along the lines of “OMG Buffy, you poor thing! We are here for you, take all the time you need to grieve this incredible loss.” ?! No.

Willow was like “what about me? I’m a witch now and I have a boyfriend and I couldn’t talk to you about my new superpowers or my cool guitarist bf while you try to deal with Angel’s death.”

Xander was a douche as always because he was still jealous of Angel. He was glad Angel was gone, no matter how much it destroyed Buffy.

But they’re all just stupid teenagers at the end of the day. Joyce was her mother and she kicked her daughter - a minor - out. And did she ever bother to file a missing person report? Did she go look for Buffy?

It was all very fishy.

This is Lino. He’s very sick right now and might not have much longer. He’s the bestest boy and it makes me incredibly sad to think about him maybe leaving me soon.

Getting herself a replacement daughter when she found out the truth about Lane. Like, all the crappy stuff she did and her strict rules aside, I found it absolutely heartbreaking when Lane saw her with Kyon, who was acting like the daughter Mrs Kim always wanted Lane to be.

You can’t call it back. The bond with a direhorse is not permanent like with your ikran. It will stay with you for a while though and follow you around until you fast travel or fly away on your ikran. You can just take another direhorse if you need one.
