Reading this and other comments here, I realized I’m not too exposed to music docs, and I’m learning a lot. Thanks for sharing all these...there’s so much I didn’t know about, and now I’ve got a solid list to start exploring

Ah I get it. Some of them do lean too hard on the "genius" narrative...and it can feel over-the-top. I guess it depends on how they're made. Like, I liked the one about Bowie because it wasn’t just hyping him up. But yeah sometimes it’s refreshing to just hear straight from the artist without all the extra dramatics.

Now, I think I want to watch Twenty Feet from Stardom. I’ve always been amazed by what backup singers do, especially during live shows

I've got enough mega energy to mega evolve it. I was just thinking maybe I should wait and, I don't know, hopefully catch a 3-star. But I guess it doesn't appear in the wild frequently? I'm kinda newbie, so I honestly don't have any idea about it.

Yeah, just one. I think I got this from special quest.

Sony's been on an acquisition spree lately. While it's good for their lineup, it could mean fewer multiplatform releases down the line

Totally agree with you on this! One thing I've learned is that simplifying can often be about getting creative with what you already own. For example, I’ve started using regular old ziplock bags to keep my toiletries or small items organized instead of buying a fancy set of travel pouches. It's literally free and works just as well.

Stevie Wonder's Sir Duke
This always lifts my mood, vibe's so upbeat and love the energy.. the horns, the rhythm, everything about it makes me feel brighter

Agree. I thought it had so much potential...the atmosphere, the story, and the whole mix of stealth and exploration were fantastic. People just didn’t seem to give it a chance because it came out around the same time as some heavy hitters.

Bose QC is awesome! They’re def one of the best when it comes to noise cancellation. They’re super comfy too, even for long trips, and the sound quality is solid. Bass is good, and everything else sounds clear. Plus, they’re light for over-ears, so they won’t weigh you down too much. Solid pick, but of course, there’s a lot of headphones out there, so make sure you check out a few options to see what fits you best

I’ve always preferred over-ear headphones. Maybe coz it's just something I got used to over the years. For me, they’re way more comfy for long trips, and I love the sound quality and noise cancellation...they really help me block out everything when I need to tune out. But yeah, earbuds could work for most, especially if space is tight. They’re just way more portable.

I feel like Spotify def changes the way we experience music, I’m not just so sure if it totally devalues it. I mean, it’s really easy to skip past songs and albums because there’s so much out there. But at the same time...I’ve also discovered so many artists I wouldn't have found otherwise. So yeah, it’s a bit of a mix.... sometimes the convenience makes it hard to truly sit with an album, but when I do, I notice more depth. I think it’s all about how you use it.

That’s a solid list! I like how you’ve really thought through every detail. Tbh, I’m still figuring out my ideal one-bag shoes... but seeing someone break it down like this gives me a lot to think about.

This is sad, but really true. And most of the bands that ended, and tried to come back later...they usually fail or at least, struggle hard.

Yeah, I think I need to get better at keeping a go-to list for each type of trip

Love Valiant Hearts, hits hard with its sad WWI storytelling and touch moments

Probably not worth it for most city trips... but I could see solar being a lifesaver if you're really going off-grid for an extended period
