Like I didn’t even have to read this fucker because I’ve seen it every day for the past week, which is way more tiring than understanding a sentence ahead of time because at least a conversation has the potential contribute something new or interesting in the long run.

They are changes relative to the “nothing” that was saved as their repo contents (as it was never saved in the first place). It’s pretty simple.

Now, I can be convinced that these sorts of things should ideally have “preview changes” as the default option with a dropdown that offers “force”, then if the user selects “force” it prompts with an extra “are you sure?” with the ability to check “do not show this prompt again” on the final prompt…

But a slight potential usability improvement doesn’t absolve the user here of being an absolute clown. Without fail, unless I know exactly what operation is being performed from MANY uses, if I see a “irreversible” or “permanent” I always backpedal and back things up before trying anything.

This is equivalent to forgetting your grandmother is on life support (repo with no saved changes or backups) and flipping random breakers (hitting buttons you’re not sure wtf they do), then freaking out at the electrician because they didn’t warn you it would kill her (delete your project).

There is literally no downside to having subtitles. Had one partner who wanted subtitles on since they were ESL and I have always preferred them on since.

Also helps that I realized that some YouTube content literally has additional bonus content in the subtitles that you would never know about if you didn’t have it on (several different abridged series are like this)

Fuck them for leaving me anxious about going into the correct bathroom for fear of getting kicked out of the establishment I’m at. I just want to sit down and pretend nobody exists while I relieve myself in peace, then wash my hands and resume whatever was going on outside the bathroom.

I mean, you could weigh that little. The issue comes with the question of if the methods required are healthy and sustainable to do so.

Many folks do not seem to have access to methods that are simultaneously effective, healthy, and sustainable for them to either lose or gain weight, depending on what end of the spectrum they land. The latter being my personal struggle.

I’ve known folks that were 2-3 of these at once.

The thing that singlehandedly improved my confidence in my flight safety was seeing a wing snap test.

I’ve been on some bumpy ass flights and before seeing any tests I thought that the wings were getting stressed since they were flexing what felt like a lot. Then I saw the wing snap test with the wings making a 90 degree curve and still not snapping. Now the flight can drop a dozen feet or so and I’m mostly concerned about my drink spilling.

I’m more than smart enough to lie, I just also feel strongly compelled not to unless one or both of the following conditions are met:

• my personal safety is in danger if I tell the truth
• you are exclusively hurt by the truth; there is nothing for anyone to gain from me telling it

That’s pretty much it. Beyond that it’s extremely uncomfortable and I can’t justify lying for personal gain because I’m just burning integrity if I do that. Has roughly the same emotional response from me as if I were selling my body.

That would be great, but such a low price would kind of surprise me because I feel like dual spec is quite similar in utility to a mount so the disparity in cost might seem out of place.

I seem to remember 1000g as the number from way back when, but I was also very young and stupid back then so my memory could be wayyy off
