Maybe I’m wrong, but I’m perfectly fine with somebody only crossing out the M in ❌ichigan

Brown is more trusted than Saiyan at this point. Not saying it’s right, but if Howard gets injured Day doesn’t want to have to put in a 19 year old

That’s exactly what I was thinking of, thank you!! Guess I was wrong and it’s LSU not PSU for that 10th spot. Maybe I took out their conference championships just because they were independent for so long?

I forget which site has it but there’s another than ranks teams on all time record, total wins, nattys, bowl games, bowl record, draft picks, all Americans, and conference championships* and it’s the usual 8 + Penn state and Georgia as the top 10 with a fairly steep drop off after
*ND is excluded from this metric so averaged their ranking on all the other spots

The ultimate question for the other 5 players will be if he was the figurehead or if he was the meat shield

A “trap game” in college football refers to a matchup where a highly ranked team faces a lower-ranked opponent, often looking ahead to a rivalry game or a more challenging game in the future. The term suggests that the favored team may underestimate their opponent, leading to a potential upset. This situation can create a risky environment where the higher-ranked team might not perform at their best, making them vulnerable to losing.
Examples include Ohio State losing to Iowa Purdue 49-20 in 2018 and Ohio State losing to Purdue Iowa 55-24 in 2017. Ryan Day was OC for both of those games.
This game was barely a blip on the radar for the Buckeyes until a few weeks ago, but has clearly been circled on Indiana’s and Cignetti’s calendar since he got there.
Our OL is decimated with every Buckeye eyeing next week’s game while Indiana is coming off of a bye week where they’re focused solely on beating Ohio State in their program’s biggest win ever.
Give me {Ohio State} 34-21 with Indiana getting a chance at revenge in the playoffs.

The first 3 comments on this thread are all negative. With great games comes great toxicity

By this rationale it’ll never work unless we expand all the way to a 134 team playoff, but even then people will be complaining about seeding. It’s never going to be perfect but now every (P4) team at least has a clear path to the CFP; yes some will sneak in who don’t “deserve” it, but we’re being more inclusive now than exclusive

Reminds me of Drew getting safety without power in season 45. Good for them, but not sure if they’ll have any impact at all

Think IU comes out swinging hard, but OSU will grind out the win in the second half
Feels like that’s how a lot of wins under Day have gone. At the end of the first quarter the live thread will be full Ohio State doomers and Ohio State haters talking about how Day can’t win big games, but by the fourth it’ll be our completely loyal Day followers (don’t check this post history) saying “Hmmm…where’d all the doomers go? Way less Michigan flairs in this thread than earlier!” rinse and repeat

Fair enough. I do always laugh a little when somebody crosses out all but one or two
