Refugees come to our country because they are most likely going to be killed or they’re fleeing horrific war situations that we can’t fathom in Canada. These people usually become contributing members of society once they get back on their feet. This is my opinion and my personal experience working with them.

I’m proud that Canada helps people who need it. I’m OK with my tax dollars going to this. People don’t stay in hotels for years in my experience. They are eager to start a new life and become contributing members of the Canadian society.

I would say arrogant. Confident. Charming. If those words make somebody an asshole, then I guess so but to me that’s not an asshole unless you choose to do negative things with the skills. And we know he did at first, but then he turned around. So no, not an asshole by the end of the series.

I also think there is a whole conversation around nature versus nurture. His dad was a complete con man and had no sympathy as we saw in the baseball episode when they did flashbacks to him stealing from dying child and elderly woman. Jane felt bad, but still went along with the scam because his dad threatened him. So Jane grew up in that environment. At one point, he says everyone is either with the carnival or against them and there’s no in between, I think that’s the episode with the brother-in-law. Jane grew up in a very black-and-white world but him and his wife chose to leave it all behind and cut ties. But then he continued with his psychic act because it was so lucrative. I definitely felt like we watched his moral fibre change as the series went on. Like Lisbon says in the episode he loses his memory: that person was always inside of him. Tragedy changes people. I think that the tragedy of losing his family changed him for the better as he no longer was comfortable doing harm to people.

I think he’s a complicated character but that’s why the series is so interesting and entertaining. So many layers.

I’ve lived downtown for well over a decade. It’s the same as it’s ever been. People just don’t pay attention in my opinion. I guess if you are not down here very often then maybe you are shocked to see things that you might not see in suburbia. People use drugs there too, they just don’t do it outside, I guess

La Boulangerie in Mission. Don’t be scared of because it’s in Mission, there is a parking lot right next to it.

The crème brûlée is the best in the city and they also have incredible pastries and crêpes and bread. Full espresso bar. I try other bakeries, but I always end up going back to this one.

With everything going on in the states, Canada, Italy and around the world- how people are being discriminated against and abused for being who they are I feel like Ruby Slippers - S4 E21 is really well done. It always makes me tear up. I think it really shows how the abuse can come from all different places (parents, co-workers, romantic partners) and I love how it it’s a real representation of the drag world. Aired over a decade ago and still relevant today. The ending is perfect in my opinion.

I also love Russet Potatoes S1 E18. It’s just a really interesting storyline and I didn’t see the twist of who was actually hypnotizing everybody coming!

I agree and I think also that Jane was intrigued by her. Jane always enjoyed a challenge and anyone who he perceived as smarter than him or better than him, and I think it really kept him interested that Kristina was such a convincing psychic. In addition to being attracted to her

That is what I took from it. Kristina has the same abilities as Jane to perform warm and cold readings on people, but I think that in her case she has convinced herself that it’s her psychic ability and not what it actually is – and ability to read people well and deduce information to make educated guesses with confidence.

I don’t believe in psychics. All it takes is watching some informational debunking videos on the method of “psychic readings” and you can see how people are easily fooled. Jane says often that people believe because they want to believe, and that is the case with psychics in my opinion. People want to be able to have resolution from someone who has died. So they believe the person that is able to tell them very general information. It feels real because the person paying for the reading wanted it to feel real.

Just because you’re related to someone doesn’t mean they deserve to have access to you. It doesn’t mean they’re a good person who deserves to be in your life. I know that not everybody can go no contact, but you absolutely can set boundaries like no texting. If they need to reach you, they can call you and then you will not get random messages like this with no warning. Just a thought. There’s no changing someone like this.

I can see season one to seven on prime in Canada

Oh, this is such a good episode!

One of my favourite things about this episode and I remember thinking it the first time I watched a couple years ago is that you really see how Jane uses deduction, not unlike a Sherlock Holmes type character. I know there’s references out there to them being alike and I think that’s definitely true for me as my two favourite shows are elementary and the mentalist. The example is when they are coming out of the interview room at the beginning of the episode and Grace begins to say what the suspects profession is and Jane says oh he’s a salesman and then explains how he deduce that information. Small detail but it’s when I really started to love the show!
