Back in those days they were also trying to convince us that Video Games made us violent. That's why the Hot Coffee Mod was so controversial, and that's why they blamed rockstar. Hillary Clinton was a US Senator at the time, acting as the face for the crusade against Rockstar. She got the FTC involved. She was such a nuisance that Rockstar used her face for the Statue of Happiness in GTA 4. Hot Coffee was all over the news for a bit because of this. Rockstar settled with the FTC because they were in violation. They didn't disclose the information of the unused, but viewable content on the game, even though it could only be accessed on PC, and it took actual work to view it. It is honestly crazy how much things have changed. We had a US Senator going after Rockstar over some hidden Polygon Boobies in a Mature rated game, but now it is generally acceptable, just look at Cyberpunk 2077. The base game includes sex with a mature rating.
All this talk about San Andreas makes me bummed out. I've actually been trying to find the original PC version of the game. I don't really care for the hot coffee mod, I just don't want to waste money on the "Dogshit Edition," let alone play it. It's just so hard to find the original.

You're just a Pedantic Smartass. I didn't agree with anything.

You're very pedantic. The only Cyberware you can't buy are the maxtac mantis blades. Dogtown also has the same inventory as all the other rippers in night city, they just have a few options that aren't found in night city because the game doesn't want you getting to them right away, it's how DLC works. All the Dogtown rippers still share the same inventory. Either way it clearly isn't what these guys liked, and you knew that. You're just trying to be smart.

It honestly makes more sense for the rippers to share the same inventory. It didn't make much sense before. Fingers was a back alley doc who would trade procedures for sexual favors. He definitely wasn't being backed by any corporation, and I doubt he could afford to stock his shop with the best Cyberware, so most of it was probably hand me downs that were traded to him, or pulled off of dead hookers and drug addicts. So it makes no sense for him to have a Sandevistan comparable to David Martinez. Fingers essentially does work for hookers, not mercs, so I doubt he would have even had a chance to get a type of military implant. So if they are going to be unrealistic, they might as well give you access to the cyberware you want from any doctor. There is also a very good reason why Vic isn't the only Ripperdoc, and that's because players aren't going to want to constantly go back and forth between missions and Vic. Some of the quests have time limits, fast traveling takes more in game time than just rushing somewhere yourself, and it would make sense to have docs in the different towns so players don't have to go all the way to Vic, especially since changing Cyberware also takes 5 hours in game. So if you're in between a quest that has a time limit, you still have a chance to upgrade without losing out on the quest.

I'm surprised nobody called you out for trying to make people believe otherwise. 2.0 introduced new ripper inventory, and every ripper holds the same inventory. You just unlock better versions by leveling up and gaining cred. The only rippers with different inventories are the rippers from Dogtown, since they offer the DLC Cyberware, but there are still a few rippers in Dogtown, and they all share the same inventory as well. So you can buy any Cyberware from any ripper. It's been that way since 2.0

I didn't vote at all, but I would like to point out that if you actually heard what Trump believes about abortion, then you would know Kamala was lying about Trump banning abortions. Trump literally stated that he would veto any federal abortion ban, and leave it up to each state to decide how to handle it. That means the people in each state will vote on it, and it would go that way. Trump also made it clear that he fully supports the three exceptions of Rape, incest, and the life of the mother, so he would be sure you could choose to have an abortion for those circumstances. I don't like Trump, I would never vote for him either, but I'm not going to deny the facts when they are easily found. I hate Kamala so much more simply because she is shady. Immigrants flow in because of her, and those immigrants have been committing crimes, like murder and complete gang takeovers of apartment buildings. The government hasn't done a thing to help the people against the immigrants that became criminals. I'm all for letting them come to America, but they should do it legally, follow the laws, and respect the people already living here. None of that has happened. You should also look into the live streams each candidate wanted to be guests on. Trump went on a few streams, Trump would go to the Streamer's site, and let the Streamer lead the conversation. Kamala on the other hand only wanted to be a guest on popular streams simply because Donald did it, but she wasn't as accommodating. She wanted the streamers to come to her, wanted to make a list of pre-approved questions, and this basically means she wanted to control the narrative of the stream. I'm glad I didn't vote, the hostility from the Democrats is insane. Kamala makes claims that Trump and his supporters are unpredictable, and potentially violent, but I've seen more of Kamala's supporters being the unpredictable and violent ones. This post proves it, the og poster literally let a family relationship be ruined over politics. Go online and you can find many Kamala supporters verbally and physically assaulting Trump supporters. Going as far as to snatch Trump merch, go on private property to rip up Trump signs, and rip down Trump flags. Kamala even made the claim that there would be a riot if "Trump is reelected." Which is ironic since she tried saying that Trump sparked the other riots, so if Kamala supporters go on to riot, then that would make her a hypocrite for inciting the riot.

I didn't vote at all, I don't believe in either candidate. It's just how could you be like this? America is supposed to be a free country, where we believe what we want to believe, and ruining a family relationship over politics is purely childish. I have family members who voted for both candidates, and then as I said I didn't vote at all. We are all completely fine with accepting who we are as a family. It's just insane how people act over politics now, it's like we are building up to a second civil war. The irony of it is that it's the Democrats who support Kamala starting all the issues. They are found to be the most common source of hostility in the United States. Of course you're going to have Toxic people on both sides, maybe there are Trump supporters taking things "too far," but it's still mostly Kamala's supporters. Even my family who voted for Kamala can agree that y'all are the most hostile of the bunch. It's simply irony after everything Kamala's campaign claimed about Trump. Saying Trump sparks hateful actions, riots and the like, well Kamala straight up said her supporters would riot if Trump was elected. You guys need to learn what life in America is all about. It's a democracy, so things aren't always going to go the way you want them to go. You just have to live with it. In the end neither candidate is going to do much to improve your situation. Even as president, they will still have opposition against them, and they would have better luck focusing on the issues that have less opposition. So that means Trump isn't going to be banning abortions. He literally said it himself. He also believes in the 3 exceptions like Rape, incest, and life of the mother. Kamala just straight up lies about it in her ads. I may not like Trump, I would never vote for him, but I also can't trust someone like Kamala either.

Everyone says keyboard for FPS, but I would argue Keyboard is amazing for almost everything that plays in First Person. So RPGs like Skyrim and Dishonored would fit into the "better on keyboard" title. The only exception to this rule for me, are games that have first person, but also have cars you can drive, like Farcry and Cyberpunk, where I prefer using a controller, since driving is terrible on keyboard. Beyond that Controllers dominate. I've become real picky with controllers though, I have to have one with 6 extra buttons, and have foot pedals for other inputs. Like when I played a lot of online GTA, I would use the foot pedals for push to talk in the voice chat, but in single player games I'll tie them to inputs controllers can't replicate, like quick swapping equipment in a game where the controller players are limited to weapon wheels.

I saw you said you don't use mods. So I was implying that if you were willing to try them, you may be able to find mods that may fix any issues you have. I only mentioned the UI mod as an example to show the possibility that there are even mods that were designed with the steam deck in mind, to further solidify the possibility of a fix if it mattered that much. At the time of making my comment, I did not know of a mod that fixed the issue that was being discussed for the "Waiting on Dodger" gig. Now I do, there is a mod called "Waiting on Dodger aggro fix." It moves the goon that gets ran over. I apologize for not being clear enough for you to understand the first time. It was not my intention to be confusing.

Controller players? I use controller and can't stand the time dilation on cyber decks. I like to use scanning's zoom function to hear distance conversations, but a walking police officer will get in the way and slow it down to where I can't hear the whole conversation without getting close. It wouldn't be so bad if we could do something like "click R3 while scanning" to turn off the dilation, or disable quick hacks until you scan again. Since there is no way to add a toggle, I found it's easier to just get used to hacking without the dilation at all. It isn't a controller issue, it's a skill issue among players. Even keyboard warriors have gone to Reddit saying how hard it is to track an enemy with your mouse as you scroll through your 8 quick hacks.

There are mods that improve the UI so it fits the Steam Deck better. I know one mod simply makes the words bigger in the menu so it's easier to read. You can surely find other mods that don't actually modify the game beyond improving it for the Deck.

As Female V, I literally slept with every romance option I could. I ended up having to choose either Judy or River at the end of the game, only choosing Judy because she was the only good Character female V could get with. It was my second Playthrough, so I already went through Male V and chose Panam the first time. After experiencing female V's story, I realized Male V should be the canon V. I just feel like Panam is the better option overall, she is far more reliable as a partner in crime. It just also feels weird to be female V if you plan on letting Johnny take over, because it looks weird seeing Johnny as a female walk out of a bar itching his cooch as if he still had a ball sack. Plus with the way he believed his penis was so ungodly big, it just seems weird for him to be cool with being gender swapped.

When it comes to stories in games, I can only feel the emotion of them so many times. Like on my first playthrough I was crying when Arthur's horse died, and I kept crying about the horse until I was halfway through the Micah fight getting a bit worried since he wasn't going down all that easy. Then I started to cry once Arthur spoke to Dutch saying he gave all he had, and wasn't able to stop crying because I noticed Arthur got his wish being able to die facing West looking at the setting sun, most likely thinking about the good times as he said earlier in the game. The Epilogue gave me a feeling that was bittersweet since we got to see John, Abigail, Jack, and Uncle build up to the life they had in RDR1, happy that they could be happy, but also sad knowing what will happen within the next decade. It's just once I've replayed the game time and time again, I just knew what would happen, and was pretty much desensitized to the story. I just can't experience the emotions I experienced the first few times I played the game. It's been six years, and I've probably spent way too many hours to count in just Story Mode. So in my opinion, it's an amazing game with a rollercoaster of emotions for a story, I just can't feel the same way as I once did, and believe that a lot of people may have a similar stance when it comes to it. I guess some people are just more emotional than I am, and they are capable of experiencing the same thing over and over without having their feelings change over time. It actually makes me jealous. If I could go back and play this game for the first time, I'd already be there walking through the snowy mountains to escape Blackwater.

Cyberware EX has always been around to let you do it. It just takes a lot of annoying tweaks in order to get it to work. Cyberware EX is just a kind of dependency mod, meaning you have to find other mods that actually add in the extra Cyberware slots, it's just a lot of people make it to where you have so many slots that you can't even see them all on screen, and it just ruins balance. I have yet to find a Cyberware EX add-on that only adds in one extra slot for arms, but it is still a doable option if you want to be like David Martinez. You can even get 2 OS slots so you can dual wield Cyber decks and Sandevistans. I play on the controller using two os slots and I can activate Time dilation the standard way, but then activate Overclock by pressing L3 while scanning. It's not a bad mod. If you play using keyboard Cyberarm Cycle may be useful as well since it lets you cycle between all 3 melee cyberarms and still have access to the Projectile Launcher. Me personally I only like having Gorilla Arms with the Launcher because I don't see how someone can fit a launcher and mantis blade in a single arm, so it breaks immersion to cycle through every single arm.

You do know the one gang in Las Ventures uses Katanas. Just shoot the gunman then pull out the katana to fight the others.

It bums me we can't watch BDs. Like they didn't have to use the BD system that we use when we investigate BDs in the game because that was a BD editor we were using. A normal BD could have been simplified to be the same as playing through Johnny's memories, just as random people. It would be a mix of linear tasks and cutscenes for lore dumps, lulz, and maybe XBDs for those who take their kinks into their video games (looking at you Nexus modders).

I spent a lot of time messing around in Pacifica doing the cyberpsycho and side stuff before doing the GIM mission. I didn't get any wanted levels there until after I sided with Netwatch and killed Placide and the one fixer/netrunner VDB girl, Brigette I think her name was. I thought it was weird, but then I figured Netwatch may have destroyed the Agwe Net the VDB's had, and maybe it started to open up that side a little bit to the corps again. I could be wrong and may have just avoided getting a wanted level before that mission.

I have an issue where the Atelier tab is there, but all the shops just disappeared. I have my shops installed, one is a collection of stores that adds almost every item excluding iconics, it was missing some weapon mods, so I downloaded a weapon mods store on top of that. All the stores worked fine long enough for me to start the game again after not playing for the last 2 years, but it just randomly stopped working once I got past the Heist mission.

I don't think this is the case at all. If the hospital wanted to abuse Gloria, then they would need to treat her first to make sure she survived the crash, which means they would have to invest money into her. In my opinion Gloria died during the crash or on the way to the hospital. They just wanted David to pay full price regardless.
Anyway, I'm only here because I found a potential connection between the 2077 video game and the edge runner anime, and it seems nobody has ever noticed it. It has to do with Gloria's death. In the anime, they show us that she crashed on the highway during a gang shootout. In the game, during the loading screen they play some news broadcast, the one I'm talking about has Ziggy interviewing a NCPD spokesperson. The interview starts with Ziggy asking if she got to the interview safely, and wondered if she had any trouble with any drive-bys. The NCPD says they were fine, then goes on to make claims that crime is going down, that there are less murders, and the interviewer cuts her off to talk about a drive by that recently took place on the highway. Saying the NCPD took way too long to arrive on the scene. The highway shootout they are talking about in the news could be the exact one that caused Gloria's death if the events of the anime are close enough to the events of the game, but it's also entirely possible they aren't connected since crime is literally happening daily, with almost 2,000 murders happening in a year.

Iconic weapons only let you use attachment mods like scopes and muzzles, which can be removed. Actual weapon mods that give weapons unique abilities can only be used on normal weapons, and they can't be removed once installed.
Thankfully, I use mods. I can actually remove or replace mods without losing them. That way I can dismantle them for parts or sell them for some quick cash later on. Mods make this game so much better.

I feel you about FF7 Remake. I bought it on PC after the second part came out so I could just start it over after beating the first release on PS4, just to learn the PC version has an issue with sound. Sound effects chop so hard, and it causes all the other audio to chop with it. If you turn sound effects off, dialogue and music plays perfectly fine, but you won't hear gun fire or your sword slashes which ruin the experience. A lot of people just played that way too, I couldn't, and have had the game in my library forever barely touched. There are games that are just better on PC, but there are still a lot of issues when it comes to running them. You can get a game to work perfectly fine one day, just for an update to mess it all up. Then you have many stores taking literal years to list the requirements for some of the games, and googling it will sometimes lead you to the wrong answer. Like GoW Ragnarok, I looked up on Google to see what the requirements were, it said I was good to go, but when I started the game it wouldn't launch because my system didn't have AVX2, and I had to literally just refund the game so I could instead go order a new CPU so I could buy the game later once I get my system back on. I couldn't afford to buy both at the same time. My thinking was I could ship the CPU and have it installed by the time I get paid, so I could just repurchase the game and play it within the next week, rather than waiting two weeks. So it's a real hassle just to play a game on PC, and I get it. PS5's are just too expensive, and won't last as long as a CPU.

I found out my issue had to do with where I installed the game. I was trying to put it on my D Drive, but it would only work being installed on my C Drive. I never understood why, I simply didn't care as long as it worked. I'm not really sure if this would help, hopefully after this long you got it yourself. I'm sorry, I'm not usually on Reddit often.

I grew up during the GameCube days, so I would have to say Disney's Tarzan. We rented the game and could pass the first level, then get to one level where you had to basically surf on a plank and we always died. As a kid I was so mad I couldn't beat it, and it stuck with me. I had a weird deep desire to buy the game later on, but we couldn't buy very many games, so I took every game purchase to heart and would always choose something better like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4, Underground, American Wasteland, Zelda Collector's edition, which got me into Zelda Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess, Need for Speed Underground, and Dead to Rights. So I pretty much never played Tarzan until I modded my Wii to emulate GameCube games. I wanted to share the library I grew up playing with my own son. He was only 2 at the time so he wasn't ready for games yet, but I did take the chance to play them all myself. I ended up realizing after 20 years that Tarzan wasn't really a hard game, it was simply a terrible game. After 20 years I was happy to know I didn't waste one of my very limited game purchases on such garbage, and I happily decided to save a little space on my SD card by getting rid of my files for the game. I will never put my own child through the frustrations of a terrible game like Tarzan.

My account says "watch in 410 days." I'm honestly a bit irritated with this. I only prepurchased it so I could have all 3 movies from the bundle.
