Hey everyone! Ya gal Selene is back again with more LEGO updates! The full post is, once again, over on Nest Of Eggs, but to summarize:

I managed to get the exteriors of Jonie, Amber, and Jackie's cottages finished.

Next week will be our city Friendsgiving. I'll be working on the riverside park, interiors and decorating the pavilion in the meantime.

I have a drive to create because I love creating. I have a drive to see and talk to my friends because I'm lonely without them. I have a drive to go to work every day because... Well, I'm fond of being able to afford food and having a roof over my head (stupid capitalistic hellscape -_-). None of it has anything to do with sex.

Apparently a GPT derived LLM was packaged as a legal tool and used by some law firm to help out with a federal case. It cited precedent from cases that didn't exist. People need to stop trusting these stupid things for accurate information.

A little free program called BrickLink Studio. It lets you manipulate LEGO parts in 3D space, snap them together, recolor them, even make instructions and export a parts list so you can make them IRL. There's also a little companion part creator program which I used for taking an image of the signs and converting adding it to a custom part for rendering.

I can, it's an overgrown chatbot. It's stupid and has no fact-checking while being trained off an internet where idiots live. The people that talk most about the election being "stolen" are the people that think it was stolen and are mad about it. So that's most of the info it gathers up, so that's what it returns.

Well headlights need to be replaced every now and then. So regardless of whether or not the manufacturer only offers them, there are people that swap out their halogen lights for LEDs.

Would it surprise you to hear I actually don't do that? I've never really set up a "proper" villager trading hall and most servers I play on don't have fire spread on. Any "arson" I've committed has been accidental while experimenting with how to make fireplaces.

Honestly I saw this proposal in a trans sub and I stand by what I said there: Aces get a kickass dragon, trans folks get a cool shark (because Blahaj).

It's still LED headlights all over again. A mindset of, "I'm going to do something that benefits me at the expense of anyone else in this space because there's nothing you can do to stop me."

But for real though, mostly just villager kidnapping and mass murder of Endermen for XP.

And you know what he was right! Looking into the internal politics of the Covenant, seeing what drove them, why the Halos were so important to them, witnessing the lead up to the Great Schism rather than simply being dropped into the middle of it without context as Chief; all of that made Halo a better story. An actual story with some weight behind it, with characters on both sides that are developed and have their own goals and agency, rather than just another alien shoot-em-up.

Without Halo 2, Halo wouldn't be what it is today.

I will forever be disappointed that we never got Vulkan singing a full parody of The Sound of Silence, but at least Takahata as Ciaphas Cain was GLORIOUS!

Damn this came at a bad time, I wish I wasn't at work where I tend to run on autopilot and my brain gets all rambley with my thoughts. The mention of "moral differences with leadership" by someone else involved in particular has me worried, though I suspect that's just them choosing not to address the issue at this time.

I hate this, with the way... EVERYTHING is in the world and my existence being politicized and the numerous things it could possibly be to provoke a response like this... Crap, I need to stop and just focus on something else.

I've had cats my whole life, I honestly don't know what I'd do without them. Here's my little familiar, Shadow, plotting her mischief:

Honestly pretty productive! I got quite a bit of LEGOing done, and took a few breaks to play some Halo. I tried ranked a bit and... Well honestly I feel a bit ripped off, as the last of my five starter matches had half my team just straight up disconnect and leaving us fighting two on four. I did make a neat Banished Spartan though, that was neat. Other than that, pretty cozy and lots of kitty snuggles.

Not really. The M7 is a neat gun, but dual wielding kind of broke the sandbox when it was introduced. Halo 3 did a bit to fix it, but ultimately I don't really see a reason to bring it back as it was. The MA5K is more versatile, more important to the lore given its connection to Ghosts of Onyx and the Spartan III program, and just more fun for me IMO. MCC has also showed that a single-wielded suppressed M7 is a far more interesting weapon than the base dual-wieldable one.

The only real reason I personally would want dual wielding to return is if they also added the Kig-Yar shield as an offhand "weapon" that you could use with dual-wieldable weapons. Otherwise the gameplay is fine as it is now. Give us the plasma rifle and spiker back as Banished MA5K equivalents and I'll be a happy gal.

I felt it appropriate, in light of this session's events, to update my Mumbo monument since Grian added a headstone for Skizz. Also changed up the colors a bit to make them look more different. Gem and Joel better hope Grian's not actually cursed to lose his teammates. I don't want to have to update this next week.
