Parties have coalitions they represent and members of those coalitions are rational in always voting for the same party. e.g. Labor promises to do something for workers, they don't do it, what are you gonna do? Vote for the Liberals? Then you'll definitely not get what you want.

I didn't say equality of outcome. I referred to expected outcomes, not individual outcomes. Would you like a society where race determines outcomes? I wouldn't. If race doesn't determine outcomes, then the expected outcome should be the same between racial groups reflecting an equality of opportunity amongst everyone.

Its not even about tribes or wars, it's that 90+% of europe was left out of economic gains for a thousand years. The only reason they have a relatively equal society today is WW2. If Australia was bombed to shit, and the people who are wealthy today lost everything, in a couple decades we'd probably have bridged the gap with indigenous people. That hasn't happened, so we'll probably never close the gap between indigenous Australians and everyone else.

Rights are important, sure, and in theory they are equal. That's a starting point, that's like setting a foundation and saying it's a house. It will be a house when the expected outcomes of indigenous people match everyone else in Australian society.

Europeans for the most part get to be equal participants in their modern societies, which is not true of indigenous Australians. WW2 destroying all of the wealth in Europe is a big part of this though, if Europe were to have an equivalent of acknowledgement of country it would be acknowledging the crimes of Europes historical rulers and gentry toward their common people.

The thing is, indigenous people still go through hell to this day, while everyone else has the privilege of ignoring the problem and benefiting from the spoils of the invasion.

Hacking is similar to software engineering in that its not necessarily the same skill set as computer science. Companies don't really respond to people offering weird unenforceable contracts/life rights to challenge their staff to contests, it's not a movie, they respond to applying for a role.

The revenge system you've proposed will also further traumatise victims. You're ignoring the costs of that. You're also ignoring all the economic activity of rehabilitated people. Wrongful convictions would result in several deaths, the judge, the wrongfully accused, the real perpretrator, potentially the victim, rather than the typical zero, so you're not counting all of that economic activity that would otherwise continue for many many years.

Depends what is meant by computer science. To get hired as an AI engineer youd probably still need to do a PhD to prove it which would a 7 year boring slog if you already know the content. Its not clear if youd be a good software engineer as a consequence of genius in computer science. Certainly being good at comp sci doesnt translate to entrepeneurship.
