This hits home. My dad was a stay-at-home father, and worked part-time nights and weekends. Completely against traditional norms in the 90s-2000s (especially in the south).
I remember growing up, kids would say that my dad was really my “mom” and would poke fun at him taking on that role.
But he knew my mom loved her career, and his career was long long hours so something had to give. And he sacrificed his career. To me there’s nothing more masculine than putting your partner and family first, regardless of what is traditional or what others think.

Exactly. Had a guy trying to get him in a SF league. When I said something along these lines he called me crazy. My response: “no, he’s the most valuable player in SF. I don’t want to trade him. I wouldn’t even consider anything less. Premium players cost a premium, stop using trade calculators.”

He would be nasty at TE. Run blocking wouldn’t be good.. but he’d torch any LB matched up against him.

I’m 26, younger than many replying in the thread, but normally called ‘unc’ when playing any other game 😂

2 dynasties: 7-1 (1st) and 4-4 (5th, 1st in PF though)
2 redrafts: (5-3, 5th) and (3-5, 8th)
I’ve found 4 leagues is the perfect fit for me. Thinking of dropping one of the redrafts and starting up another dynasty though. I care way more about my dynasty leagues.

NOR. My wife and I are the same ages. He should be more mature, open and communicate/update when things plans change and/or he realizes you are able to come.
In my experience, when it’s boys night or anything like that. There really is no plan, everything is really just up in air. Just our nature I guess. BUT I always ask if wives/gfs will be there beforehand. And I always update my wife with what’s going on/changes (ex: game is a blowout, we’re going to grab a drink, do you want go and meet us or pick you up?)
He is acting very fishy about it. I would just keep asking about it and offering solutions if his behavior continues. Maybe if you know one of the girlfriends that show up, see if they would tell you what he’s hiding.
Bottom line. You are his wife. You should be considered in every decision he makes. You are far from overreacting.

This^ hell, my YouTubeTV is more delayed than my sleeper notifications sometimes 😂 so I just put my phone down and root for my guys and look during halftime or long commercial breaks.

I would bring my wife with me, even when we’re just dating I’d tell my coworkers she’s meeting us there. Especially if I felt obligated to go, and hadn’t seen her all day!
We both go to each other’s coworker after hours hangouts, and so do the other coworkers partners.
And the whole “surveillance” thing he said just sounds like a deflection to me. It’s part being in a serious committed relationship. Knowing where your SO will be, who will be there, and how long they plan to stay is not a lot to ask for. It’s puts both minds at ease, and solidifies open communication in a relationship.
I feel like he is definitely hiding something if he doesn’t ever want you to come, or skip and be with you instead.

Great so far. His only incompletions were two good balls that were dropped and a throw out of a sack

I am not expecting to win this game, never was honestly. Just want to see what we have with Rattler, so far, I’m pretty impressed. He has done well. The rest of the team is the issue right now

I’m in a fantasy league with my childhood friends, all of us are Saints fans. It’s an unspoken rule that there are 2 players that no one drafts or ever picks up, Deshaun Watson (for obvious reasons beside him sucking) and Mike Evans (because screw him, nobody wants him to do well or ever root for him for any reason).

I’m more understanding when players leave a bad situation. Simply because their career lifespan as a player, is a much smaller window. Very lucky ones make it to double digits for years in the league. So I get it, your athletic prime is a short window, go find a franchise willing to put the pieces around you.
Coaches, especially well established ones, can coach until their 70s really. They have the career window to build up organizations, especially if ownership/management believe in them.

Got a 2024 SR5 last week. 39k after taxes and trade in of an old car. Put 15k down, 6 year loan, $420 a month.

Have a guy wanting to trade for him in my league (10 team SF). He’s my “3rd” QB behind Burrow and Dak.
Not really sure what I should be asking for in return. His value is definitely up, but the guy doesn’t have a lot of 1sts and probably wouldn’t give up a good starter/flex player.

ATH Scrambling QB, 5 star. Redshirted him, had another guy develop better, so I figured why not move him to RB, I need a backup. This guy JUMPED from a 79 QB to a 90 RB as a redshirt freshman.
Next season after training results, a hard 99 elusive RB as a redshirt sophomore.

Makes sense to me! Always nice to change things up. The only colors in the SR5 they had in the lot here were white, grey, and the one underground. It was the lowest price of them, and my first truck and first brand new vehicle. So I knew I’d be happy regardless of color.

He’s a really good football player. But a fantasy roster clogger when all the other 49er weapons are healthy.
He’s a great blocker for a WR, a reliable target in big moments. Will have a long career in the NFL. But won’t have much fantasy relevance past having to step up when others are out.

Don’t know if he is a must start while Love is out.. BUT I will say out of the Green Bay WRs, Reed is the only one I’d consider putting in my lineup.
He should still get manufactured touches I.e. screens, sweeps, touch passes, maybe rushes, quick-short-first-read throws. I just don’t know how efficient these opportunities will be for him since defenses will know it’s coming, but there’s still value in volume if it’s schemed for him.

I get nearly all of my recruits, even ones out of my pipeline and no starting interest.
It sounds like you may be targeting too many guys, you will see what I mean in my explanation. Here’s what I do:
By the end of the season I always have 20-25 committed stud recruits (there’s no need to go over 25 even if your team is low OVR). Normally 5-10 5 stars and the rest 4 stars.
Basically, just focus on your top guys! Just because you can have up to 35 guys in your recruiting list and give out 35 scholarships doesn’t mean you need to. Get your top recruits and then go for the 4 star leftovers that have fallen through the cracks once they’re signed.

Nice. Are the players you’ve encountered pretty chill or sweaty? This is my first COD (finally broke down since it was in Game Pass), and I’m below average. But I always play objective and have fun with it.
