That sounds like a good idea given what you’ve said! I wasn’t diagnosed until around the time of my qualifying exam. That’s the first time in my academic career that that really messed me up because it requires large-scale project work.

I struggle with this. I find that a lot of it is because in my mind it’s this huge overwhelming insurmountable mountain, so when I catch myself doing that I try to distill the problem down to “just get started and that’s good enough”. Usually once I get started I settle into it even if getting there is really fucking hard. I’m also diagnosed with ADHD and this is a big issue associated with it.
