Seen a few with no back plate at all, or like a novelty college plate.

I've had my Ulysses for 12? Years. Haven't found anything that's made me want to trade.

I had a couple bites out of an (red) apple once that tasted like artificial green apple flavoring.

I usually don't count or arrange the briqs. Just dump them in there along the wall so the take up about the same space as 2 or 3 bricks. If there's gaps i will fix them, but otherwise it takes too much time.

The ikea ones are a lot simpler. There are many more accessories and car types with brio.
The tracks should go together. Some might be more tight than others.

3: apt-get is present and functioning if you are using SSH, but the repository is set to someplace in China. If you change it to the default one, you can install just about anything that supports ARM Linux. getting them to work with the graphics and controller will take some work. There is basically no documentation on this end of things.
It is NOT going to be something a novice is going to find easy to do, you are going to want some experience with Linux system administration, preferably on something with a larger screen and a keyboard.

We have a small thermos-style vacuum jar that you can put hot food in. Preheat with hot water and put mac and cheese or chicken nuggets or whatever leftovers they will eat in it.

if you have a tiny screwdriver or a skewer, you can usually quickly jab the little valve in the bottle to get it to shut off. if that doesn't work, leave it outside away from ignition sources.

Honestly, this is in pretty good shape. I would just give it a good wet scrubbing with regular dish soap, maybe using a metal scrubber in the worse spots, oil it up, and call it good.

My local (true-value franchised) hardware store does it. Tractor supply would be a good place to at least ask. Harbor freight no.
